Hello everyone again! I was just wondering, how many photos is too many? I have 28 and don't want to go beyond that! But does anyone have any input as to if that is too many? They are pics of both of us, and some with both of our family members in different time periods, to show that I met his family and that he met mine. Granted, at the time I was stupid and never took any of me with his family. So I put some of me and his niece next to one of all of them showing the whole family. So is 28 an ok amount. I guess I just don't want them to think we don't have any you know what I mean? And out hair is different at the 4 different meetings too. Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!

Hello there, i am working on gathering proof of relationship (pictures, emails, boarding passes) etc and i have read that a minimum of 5 photos is required but its always better to send many if you wish too, it just makes your case stronger. Also make sure the pics were taken during different time intervals not on the same day at same location : )

Cheers

I only sent five or six and the guides here recommend 2-5. Photographs are considered secondary evidence, as opposed to flight tickets, etc. so there's no need to send quite so many. Good luck!

If it's for the embassy interview! More pictures the better as they are primary evidence there. Not for original submission tho.

Cool. I sent along a couple dozen of us and the engagement party and a few of the family. I have I think at last count a couple of thousand so if they want em I can send them all.

I included about 60. My lawyer put it together in the packet by gluing them, two on one page, onto a blank white paper and labeling and dating them.

Although I went overboard and it wasn't necessary.

Good luck.

Minimum of 5...? Ugh...I sent in 3....cause three was all I had....I hate hate HATE my picture taken...abhor it...so... even finding those three was pushing it :( Well, guess I can take more pics when he's out here next month in case they want more.

Don't fret too much! I only sent in 4, and I was fine. I'm like you - I think we only have 6 colour photos total, and none of those are terribly good!

As you can see from the responses, it varies. It also varies in relation to what part of the process you're in. Could you fill in your timeline please?

Any pictures you send in are secondary evidence, so sending just a couple if you're at the first part of the journey should suffice.

I put in 6 photos in the initial petition and then took a little album to the interview with me.

No RFE's, didn't even look at them at the interview.

Bring some anyway :)

You'll read a lot of misinformation. Check the guides. Beyond the passport pictures, zero pictures together are required with the petition submission. Any submitted are secondary evidence anyway. A "few" is plenty. If you have zero, don't worry for the submission but pictures taken during an additional visit before the interview would be "prudent" but still not "required".

The form instructions and the guides here (in that order) should be your "authoritative" sources of information. If you read it somewhere else and didn't see it in the instructions or guides, be sceptical.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
