Well, it's only the beginning of a long process but it already feels like ages... but today it's official, the package is in the mail... the only gotcha... I didn't copy every single page of my passport, I didn't see much point in it... I doubt I'll get an RFE over it... but that's probably the only gotcha I might have to have a sleepless night over. I'll be back to my usual lurking and reading self now, at least until NOA2 time comes around, that's when the action and panicking can begin!

You might if your passport is the only evidence of Citizenship you provided. If you also sent a birth certificate copy, that will do. Just as a point of reference, there are going to be multiple things required of you during the visa process, you may not see much point in. My advice is to do them anyway.

I didn't copy every single page of my passport, I didn't see much point in it...

I didn't either...only pages that showed trips to the UK and one page that showed a stamp we both had of us entering the Czech Republic same day, same place to try to establish being in the same place for evidence of meeting. It seemed to be okay with USCIS not to have my whole passport copied.

Congratulations on filiing. I remember feeling so relieved and excited when I finally sent it in.

I too only photo copied the pages with the stamps of arrival and departures and my photo from my passport.

This was more for evidence of meeting then proof of citizenship. I used my birth certificate for that.

I sent copies of my birth certificate, and a name change thingy too, the passport was more for evidence of meeting purposes.

I was just reading your posts, and find out I'm not the only one that didn't send copies of passport entries oooopppss you think we'll get an RFE?. If so after you get NOA1 how long does it take to get an RFE?.

I only sent pictures (forgot to write something about each picture on the back), copy of my citizenship, copy of our baby birth certif., and copy of last boarding pass, my camera is set to automatic date so to me that was enough proof, what do you think?

I pray God not to get an RFE.

A few of the people in this thread were busy waiting when I originally posted this... and now they are together with their loved ones... which is nice to see.

I don't expect an RFE for only copying some pages of my passport, I was really just interested in the stamps (I think I copied the main page and the page with the exit/entry stamps). I may receive an RFE for american style passport photo's for my fiancee, I sent in philippines style passport photo's (the same as US but with a dark blue background instead of white), oops, for that it's a wait and see situation.

As for how long it takes to get an RFE, unless you forgot to include a check, or possibly failed to include the actual petition... I don't think you are likely to get an RFE until your petition would have other wise been approved, they don't seem to take steps to check for complete information until they are actually deciding if they will approve or deny, it seems like most RFE's add about a month of extra time to the process, but I've also seen a lot of times where someone has an RFE and then a NOA2 just a few days later, so either way... RFE's slow things down, but I don't think they are too drastic of a problem normally.
