MQ, I had horrible luck with my Senator's office, but my congressman has been helpful.

www.house.gov/writerep/

Put in your zip code & it'll give you the Washington, DC address for your Congressman. However, I would then Google him to see if he has a local office.

You'll have to send a signed release so that they can inquire on your behalf.

Im sorry but i realy dont understand what your telling me i have to do :(

When you get hold of your congressman and tell them that you want them to "check" on the status of your case for your husband, they will want a written consent of having your permission to find out information about your case. Alot of times they will have a standard consent form that you can sign or they can tell you what information to put on the form and sign it. Basically information like your name, address, dob, same thing of your husband, your case number...things like that. I am sure there is probably even a template that you can find on the internet for a a signed release form.good.gif

IDK its because one of my relatives after there interview they were requesed to send there marriage contract. and after they sent it they stayed in AP for 6 months! till the guy went back to the embassy and asked them whats going on. then the CO told him to wait a minute went check the case and turns out his case was just sitting there the whole time no looked at. so he told him everything is good and he got the visa the next day. so im worried that there waitting to see what we will do. its not like the jeruslam embassy is super busy or anything. i mean the only get 1000 emails a month. compaired to others who get over 20,000. so they need to step it up.

the thing is dont tell me the most we will wait is 1-2 weeks and if worst comes to worst 2 months. when thats not the case. it pisses me off.

Sorry for the rant lol

Don't worry, MQ, this doesn't apply to you as a USC petitioning for a foreign spouse to come the US - there is no quota for those petitions :)
