Our interview is on Monday in Chicago at 9:00AM...We are a little worried because we might not have enough proof.

We live with my parents so we have NO lease, NO bills, NO car with both names on. We do have: savings/checking accounts with both names, car insurance with both names, medical coverage together (he is my dependent), 2005 joint tax, and pictures. THAT IS ALL  .

Hopefully it will all go well. :)

Good luck with your interview, we have ours week after yours, also in Chicago, could you please tell us how did it go? I'm sure it will be fine but just give us details.

You have most needed documents so everything should be fine

Also tell us which officer you'll get. i guess it is mentioned on interview letter (#on the bottom).

Don't worry. You have enough proof of your relationship. Read my post about our interview. We had it yesterday and everything went OK. The official didn't ask for too much. We had a bunch of stuff with us, but was not really needed. Can't remember his name (you know, the happiness of being approved and finishing this long journey - at least for now - erased that from my head) but seems like what you have is enough proof that you are together and your marriage is legitime. Just the joing taxes is good enough! (that's all they asked us). Bring all the stuff you have, you will be OK.

Good Luck!

Good luck. If it makes you feel better, you can get a letter from your parents that you guys live with them at such and such address, signed by them. You probably won't needed, but you may as well do it.

You should be perfectly fine with that evidence. Many people live with relatives, etc. until they are able to do otherwise, and have passed their interviews just fine. All the best to you; will be looking for your happy post! :) M.

if you can get a letter from your parents, that would be a good backup in case you need it.

but there have been other people who live with family or friends who didn't have leases or anything, and they were approved on the basis of the other proof they had with them. its up to the officer's discretion, as usual.

i think you should be fine. don't stress too much. get all your papers in order, then spend the rest of your weekend relaxing. you don't wanna show up on monday all tired and frazzled.

just remember, its an interview, not a trial! you will get through it with flying colors! just know everyone here is wishing you well.

all the best,

I don't think that you need a letter from your parents - that you live with them is sufficient info for the interviewer.

And you have enough proof - many of us didn't have cars/leases in joint names (I only had health insurance and bank statements in both names) and that's more than enough.

Don't worry about it - go there with confidence and if he asks why you don't have any of these - tell him why (I am almost certain he/she won't ask for anyhing.) Good luck
