let's try to be civilized and act like mature people here. I just happened to read the 2 topics that has been closed due to some petty stuff. It is not wrong to make a joke but make sure it will not fireback on you. There is a thin line between being witty from stupidity as to being honest from sarcasm. We may have freedom to post in the "Off Topic" forum, but let us not all forget why we're here in vj, that is to seek and to give help cause we are more or less on the same boat of this immigration process despite of our differences in culture, belief and status in life.

Chill out everyone! :)

Yeah it seems some people want everyone on here to have the same culture and internet "skills" and make no room for ppl not as "cool" as them.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I'd just like to point out and say that I have been reading some posts on the "Off Topic" forum and I'm disgusted and appalled with some of there behaviour. I wont mention names but some of the posts are from people who are part of the VJ team.

I have to say some on here should be ashamed of themselves and grow up a bit. I can understand a bit of banter, but come on folks, lighten up a bit.

Go take a break then!

I had a friend throw a tomato for his car into mine one time. I caught it right up side the noggin". It was my finest moment.

Speaking of illegals, I got caught in El Paso without my papers. I'm in Jaurez now (changes name it WideAwakeInMexico). Anyone got a friend who'll marry me so I can get back in?

I certainly can not read this entire thread however I would ask that people respect each other a bit more than has been the case recently. Freedom to speak your mind is important however it should never be at the expense of hurting another person's feelings (just for fun or effect) and should not single out or otherwise be rude to other cultures or ethnic groups.

Sometimes people make jokes that are "Dry" or require context to understand however I would ask that everyone respect the diverse culture of the board and be careful how they say things (or at least consider if their statements could easily be misinterpreted).
