they key word is "conditional". he needs her to make it permanent after 2 years.

It isn't her position to punish him. It is her right to make the government aware if she has reason to believe and proof to show that his intentions upon entering marriage with her were not genuine.

Put some jalapenos in his food - or habaneros - yikes!

No, she can't do anything to punish him. But he will still need to get conditions removed on his own (not very easy but not too hard to do). She should be thankful that it didn't go on for years, get divorced and move on with her life. Being bitter is only going to eat her insides. Good Luck

Could be a one-sided story. Maybe she has been mistreating him all this time and he is only showing her who's the boss. They should talk about this. Plus she needs to understand and realise that he is her husband and that they are ought to talk things over instead of turning to divorce. Especially if they both are muslims then they should consider other options besides a divorce.

I don't think anyone should do anything out of spite or to punish somebody else. Karma will take care of everything, or at least that's what I believe.

If she really thinks that he married her for his green card she can divorce him now and try to gather as much evidence as she can to prove that he did this on purpose. Otherwise, he will more than likely be able to remove conditions on his own if he can prove he married her for love, which may not be the case.

It isn't her position, you are right. But, if I were in that situation, I'd sure as hell look for every opportunity to do just that!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
