Charles, I was just about to post "not having to sleep with ear plugs because of the slumbering bulldozer next to me!"

can you use the earplugs every night without hurting youe ears? Mine start really hurting and then I need a break from wearing them.

You can also ask Rey to use that nose strip thingy to make him breathe better. Plus, when Charles is snoring real loud and he's facing me, sometimes I change bed position, where my head is where my feet was supposed to be, which is a very dangerous position cuz I'm a sleep kicker :P

Nessa, I think you need to "train" Charles to turn over when he snores. Apparently my wife has done this with me, although I don't remember it, so she could tell me I'm doing the Moonwalk while asleep too and I'd only have her word to go on.

But the point is that sometimes I snore (usually when I'm flat on my back) so my wife will turn to me and tell me to "turn over" (this seems oddly enough like the command one would give a dog...) and I must do so, because she finds it very amusing that I react almost immediately. When we first got together, I was very slow to respond and she'd have to jab me a few times too. She no longer has to do that.

The real problem, I think, is that my wife is a very light sleeper and I'm the opposite. I could sleep through an explosion and a freight train going by -- at the same time. So she had to work with me (again, this seems vaguely dog-like) in order to get me to do this while asleep.

So far, she hasn't attempted to keep telling me "turn over" so that I roll off the bed. One of these days, I bet that'll happen though.

well, he snores non-stop when he's asleep, but some times are worse than others, so yeah, it would be nice if I learned how to make him turn over. Maybe I need to take some classes, cuz the only thing that comes to mind would be slapping his head, but I'm sure he would be very annoyed by that

Some says that LDR won't work because of lack of trust, communication and etc...

You can give you opinion on how to workout this kind of relationship.

As far as what we went through - looking back, communication was the most important thing we had...it was all we had. We found ways to say, 'hello' or 'I love you' thru text messages, emails, chatting and phone calls. However small or insignificant that outreach seemed, to the receiver it was what they looked forward to and what kept them from going nuts. Don't underestimate the importance of small talk. :)

The good things:

Being made to get to know eachother through talking about stuff that you probably wouldn't talk about in a normal relationship.

The extended honeymoon period - Everytime I see Chris after being apart for so long, I get butterflies in my stomach. When I first see him, I just think, 'ugh, god you're hot!'

The absolutely pointless conversations. They have made us laugh soooo much! We can literally talk sh*t to eachother for hours... If anyone were to listen in they would think we were completely nuts!

I wholly agree with the snoring thing! I have never been with anyone that makes so much noise when they are asleep!!! (He also turns over automatically. All I have to do now is cough loudly and he's straight on his side :D) I wear ear plugs and I can STILL hear him!

The bad things:

The heartache of not knowing when you are going to see eachother again.

The feeling of your heart being ripped out when you have to walk away at the airport.

Not being able to share special occasions. I cannot WAIT to spend Christmas, birthdays, Easter and every single occasion with Chris.

Arguments - They are ALWAYS worse on the phone. Sometimes things are misconstrued because you haven't got facial expressions to look at. Things can easily be taken the wrong way.

you're free to surf the tv channels cuz the remote is always yours

you can have the last slice of pizza cuz the pizza is all yours, anyways

There are definitely some good things about LDR that I miss. Those sweet messages you wake up to. The butterflies in your stomache when you see each other again after months (I barely recognized my husband the first visit, he was too cute to be mine ;) ). The silly conversations and the non-stop talking (now we watch tv and fiddle on the computer rather than talking). I could get more studying done before he moved here and comes in every 5 minutes cause he misses me :) That's the biggest one hehe! In general though, I wouldn't give up having my husband here for the world. AND he doesn't snore, WOO HOO!!!! Though he does do this annoying clicking sound... Ugh!

I don't like to think about what life was like before I moved here... I am just happy to be with my hubby and not going through those agonizing goodbyes at the airport anymore
