How did you find out about your approval? Was it online? or Was it via snail mail? I have had bad experience with VSC online records (i.e. them being not up-to-date, etc), so I was wondering if I should rely on the online status of the case.

Just a general query...I think it might be beneficial to other anxious NOA2-watchers :whistle:

Im waiting also but according to timlines we both have a wait, my (quesstmate) date is august and yours is sept, as the time gets closer maybe we can notice a few touches and also hope it goes quicker

welll ... it varies.. most ppl received an email... but apprently there are MANY from sept and oct who are yet to be approved.. so lets see what happens to us sept oct filers... and u can tell from them... who they got their approval...

just be patient.. cuz there are plenty of ppl ahead of u waiting to see their approval..

10-12-07 -mailed i130 to VSC

10-16-07- received by VSC

1-11-08- i130 NOA1

2-24-08-view case online

4-19-08- i130 NOA2

4-24-08- NOA2 hardcopy received

4-24-08- NVC CASE #ASSIGNED MDR

5-04-08- EMAILED CHOICE OF AGENT TO NVC

5-05-08- DS3032 AND AOS fee bill was generated today

5-05-08- paid AOS fee bill $70 online

5-07-08- AOS FEE now says PAID online, can print cover sht.

5-07-08*cald NVC and msg says AOS $recvd

5-12-08-DS3032 EMAIL Accepted

5-13-08*cald NVC and msg now says DS3032 choice of agent has been received.

5-13-08-mailed AOS i864 packet w/printed cover sheet from online payment (certified mail- priority)

5-15-08-AOS packet received by NVC

5-18-08 iv FEE bill invoiced

5-18-08 iv fee $400 paid online

5-20-08-iv fee cleared, able to print covr shet online

5-21-08-mailed DS230 packet to NVC via priority mail

5-29-08 aos ACCEPTED

5-29-08- DS 230 entered in system

6-3-08-cse cmplte.

6-11-08 case left NVC to chennai via DHL

6-16-08 case reached chennai

7-2-08 appt letter received by beneficiary

7-4-08 medical done in chennai

7-28-08 interview- AP for 4-6 weeks (awaiting name chk clearance-told by chenai operator)

8-20-08 chennai forwarded file to DOS- according to inquiry from congressmans office

(also confirmed by DOS)

8-28-08 file reached DOS- told by operator

9-2-08- last update to case,told by DOS

12-12-08 emailed chennai embassy asking status of our case, and got email to send passport..

12-15-08 submitted passport to vfs

12-19-08 VISA ISSUED! in hand!

12-25-08 hubbys arrival! smooth POE!

1-16-09 green card arrives

1-27-09 SSN card in mail

We were approved in Dec 13th 2007, and I found out over the uscis.gov web site cause I am unable to chek my "yahoo" emails from work. Later on when I got home I found email from CRIS telling the same: Case approved. Approved 13th and approval apeared on the web site on 14th.

Never got an email or my case was never updated in system. I got my approval via mail, 4 days after it was approved.

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

I am from VSC and I got to know in the case status online which was updated on the same day of approval, had an email and a mail in the next 3 to 4 days. All modes of notification worked for me :)

I-129F Sent : 2008-01-29

I-129F NOA1 : 2008-01-30

I-130 Approved: 2008-03-28

NVC Entered: 2008-04-02

AOS & IV Bill generated : 2008-04-14

Cheques reached NVC: 2008-05-02

AOS and IV pack generated: 2008-05-12

I-864& DS-230 Packet reached NVC: 2008-06-9

Missing documents letter sent on 12th June 2008

Missing documents letter received by the lawyer : 18th/ 19th June 2008

Lawyer sent the missing document on 20th June

NVC received the documents on 23rd June 2008 10:08 A.M

I-864 missing information letter sent by NVC on 26th June 2008.

Spoke to the operator and mentioned that we had sent the document, operator put a note for us in the system.

NVC misplaced the document and we are asked to carry it to the Interview.

NVC Case Complete: 2008/06/27

Interview Date : 2008/08/28 ............ Hurray........... our day is here :)

Once I sent the DS-230, I waited about 2 weeks and then started calling the automated line at NVC daily.

First trip 01-17-07

Married 02-05-07

What Service Center was filed at? Nebraska transferred to California

Provide dates for the following:

I-130 sent (Mailed)..........................3-12-07

1st NOA (Receipt Notice) .................3-29-07

2nd NOA (Approval Notice) e-mail.....6-15-07

Bill for I-864 processing fee rcd and sent..7-24-07
