Comments : At the interview, the CO told Angi that we needed a joint sponser b/c they couldn't rely on 8 months @ my current income to approve the visa. This goes to show that the current income alone is not enough, it is also the length of time earning the current income.

Consulate Review: Bucharest, Romania
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : June 13, 2008
Embassy Review : When my husband had his interview on April 16, 2008, they took the evidence we had and looked at it. He thought he would be speaking one on one alone with the consul, however he said it reminded him of a bank where you go up and speak to the teller because everone waiting could hear the questions he was being asked and it embarrassed him a little to have to speak with all those people listening. Thankfully they only asked him the normal questions. He was then told that we would need a joint sponsor. They told him to call and schedule another appointment when he had the paperwork for the joint sponsor. When he went back for the second interview on May 5, 2008, he was not asked any questions, they just took the joint sponsor's paperwork and looked it over. He was then issued the visa.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
