I hate that too if they put their seats back so I don't have anymore space. Extremely rude!!!! Next time I fly I will be 4 months pregnant which gives me enough reason to speak up and make them sit straight like everyone else... It is so rude to move the seat back in economy class - purely egoistic and so inconsiderate!

Rude for putting a seat back? Really? Then why is it even possible?

Economy class seats allow enough room for the average person. But if you need more, go for the higher class.

Yeah, I had no idea people found this to be rude. Sorry, I do it all the time - I thought that's what they're there for!

I think people who dont have legroom issues just dont think about it, I dont think they do it to be rude.. it's just that they dont know what its like to have a plastic seat back imbedded into your knees :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Okay, since there seems to be a lot of complaints about seating here, I thought some of you might find the following interesting: this is an example of Executive First Suite Service on Air Canada. While I've flown with Air Canada before, I've never used this class level before (to be honest, I didn't even know it existed until a few months ago), but it looks amazing.

There's an interactive tour on the same page down near the bottom that uses Flash as well. I'd check it out. It's really very cool.

At the end of the day, economy really sux. If we are forced to fly economy, for lack of miles for an upgrade, we usually book on the lowest travel days for the longest segment. We also request seats in the very back of the plane, particularly on trans-oceanic flights.

Often times, no one else is booked in your row and you can fold all the arms up and lay down across 3-4 seats. I usually wait until the lights are dimmed and dump myself onto the floor (between rows) with blankets and pillows, while my wife stretches out on the seats. Flight attendants will usually discourage this practice, but if you wait until the lights are down, they typically don't notice.

I'm going on my first overseas plane trip (to England) at the end of March, and I have no idea what to expect...any pointers?

Oh I have many.....

1. check in early - if you are travelling on a Friday or Sunday, bear in mind that transatlantic flights are always packed on these days so give yourself an extra hour and you won't have to queue with 200 people and one check-in attendant.

2. Never EVER eat the plane food unless you are travelling business or first class. Coach class food is so bad that you will have a bloated tummy and constipation for 3 days when you hit the UK. If I fly economy, I try and buy a fresh sub from one of the airport cafes and bring that on with me.

3. If you spot empty seats when you board, ie two or three in a row that would make a good bed!, just before take-off, unclip your belt and run to the vacant seats. The cabin crew never care, but people who had the same idea and who were going to wait until the seatbelt sign went off, will hate you. Its a very satisfying feeling and you can lie down with a blanket and get some sleep.

4. always try and wait until the very last minute to board the plane. By the time you get on, everyone has sat down and you can easily move around the cabin and find your seat without climbing over bodies and people hitting you in the face with their elbows as they remove their outer wear

5. NEVER press the "cabin crew" button on your remote control unless it really is a life or death situation. The cabin crew REALLY hate it and almost always avoid people who do it.

6. Definitely accept all alcohol offered. Anything that can help you fall asleep is an absolute godsend. Prescription medication IS your best friend on a flight, and if you can knock yourself out for the duration, woohoo

7. Only use the bathroom if you simply cannot hold it another second. Try and go early on in the flight if possible. If you need to go nearer the end of the flight, you will take your life in your hands. Also ALWAYS put your shoes on before a bathroom trip. The water on the floor is not always water !!

8. Remember some cabin crew are evil and love to wait for people to fall asleep, before shaking them violently announcing that "dinner" is being served. They tend to leave you alone if you are wearing the free but sh!t eyeshades.

9. Always bring a book on the flight with you. This is especially handy if you are sitting next to a stranger who is a little chatty. Just point to the book and smile.

10. If you are in business or first then none of this really applies. You will get a flatbed and a decent (ish) meal, and sleep is possible without being heavily sedated.

I hope this helps!

No idea this was rude either - I personally prefer to be upright unless I'm tryong to sleep but when the person in front of you puts their seat back you really have no choice

If you are on an airplane sitting next to someone who irritates you follow these instructions:

1. Quietly and calmly open up your laptop case.

2. Remove your laptop.

3. Start it up

4. Make sure the person who is annoying you can see the screen.

5. Close your eyes, tilt your head up to the sky and move your lips as if you are praying

6. Then run this screen.

He will either shut up or move after he regains composure.

ok, i just saw this now....couldn't open it at school...lol....but this is hilaaaarious!! i just forwarded it to all my friends...hhaha..:lol::lol:

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

lol, yeah! i agree, haha....cuz, you're trapped..haha...those germs will just go around and around for the duration of your flight...haha...eww..gross..i never thought of that before...that's really nasty.....

snoring is annoying and when people constantly shake their legs--that bothers me anywhere, on the bus, subway, in class...

hmm...what else?..oh!! in january, i was on a plane from jordan to new york and in the row behind me was a family--a mother and three children aged about 6-10 years old...the two older ones kept getting up and going to the bathroom or whatever....so i would be sleeping and all of a sudden i feel a hand on my head--apparently, they decided it was okay to use my head as support :girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn: ....lol...it's funny now that i think of it....but i was sooooo annoyed at the time, especially on a 12 hour flight--oh!! the torture!!!!!!...

Huh? Feel free to press the button when you need something. That's what those buttons are for. Sure, be considerate, don't overuse it, but remember that you are paying the crew's salaries.

Personally the most annoying thing for me is when you are eating and the person in front has their seat right back, you end up head bashing the seat trying to eat that lovely airline food. lol. (I generally have my seat up, if I put the seat back it hurts my back after a while.)

Make sure to remind them of this fact. They like to hear it as much as police officers do! :jest:

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Good idea! I also think they should require professional massages therapists for those flying long hours.
