Only one person interviewing K1 and K3 applicants. He read our packet for 4-5 min., then asked my wife 4 very basic questions (about 3 minutes). He would not allow me, Husband, to stand with my wife at the interview window and did not want to ask me any questions. Strange given the main goal is to prove a valid marriage. 4/22 - the US Embassy Immigration Visa dept. no longer takes phone calls - there is no way to speak to a human. They only accept emails and take days to respond and most "answers" are canned (pre-written) and may not actually answer your question. I wrote numerous time requesting an estimated time for the packet 4 notice - they refused to provide an estimate. Lucky for us, the IV dept. provided it within 5 weeks. | 2008-06-06 | |||

Had to resend a fresh copy by Federal Express. Now six months later I get an RFE on the same package but the I-130 has been approved. The RFE stated I did not fill out a box and left it blank, I checked my copy of the orignal submission and found I filled everything out properly...sent a letter and filled out the RFE as additional insurance. RFE approved within three days. NVC received package sent me leter that all documents would be at the consulate in one week, one month later they finally released the documents to the consulate, in this month they would not tell me anything about what was happening, no timelines, no explanations. Now papers are at the consulate. Everything is now complete and the visa will be issued next week adn my wife will come to America in three weeks. | 2009-07-28 |
