Green card production after ELIS

Has anyone received their green card after using the ELIS site to pay their fees? If yes, how long did it take after POE? If no, how long have you been waiting? Did you pay before you POE'd or after?

I'm trying to get a guesstimate of how long it's taking to receive the green card after using the ELIS site to pay (which I know is a PITA) and if people paid before or after POE.

March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

05/30/2013 - NVC accepted request and stated that further communication will now directed to petitioner.
06/04/2013 - AOS & IV bill e-mail received, generated and paid.
06/05/2013 - AOS & IV status paid.
06/05/2013 - AOS package sent
06/12/2013 - IV package sent
06/25/2013 - AOS Accepted
07/03/2013 - IV accepted
07/03/2013 - Case Complete
07/30/2013 - Interview Date received

09/30/2013 - Interview

09/30/2013 - Approved

10/02/2013 - Visa in hand

I hope ours updates soon. We paid on May 30th, POE'd on June 11th. Still nothing. unsure.png

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

oohpartiv - that seems a bit long in the tooth without any status update, almost as if the POE hasn't done anything with yer casefile yet to mark you record of entry in to the SAVE db system. Suggest you contact ELIS tech support on Monday and see what the heck the hold up is.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I think her POE did something with her package because her hubs got his SSN automatically. I did not. I wonder if going into the office actually triggered the USCIS to do something with my green card or if they're just that slow. I check the darn think about as often as I checked my casefile after NOA1.

nah - the POE does data entry work into the SAVE database, there's a backroom no one sees.

Some clerks at the CBP office will trigger the SSN production. Some don't. Lacksidasical folk, mostly.

you going into a SSA office does nothing with USCIS green card production at all - it's two different government agencies, and SSA only looks up, in real time stuff in the SAVE database for verification purposes (it's read only there at the SSA office) and if there's any DHS verification needed by the SSA office - they fill out a form and mail it into a DHS office ...

IMO, That ELIS thing is broken.

But I agree with ELIS being broken. So many threads on here about how it stops working half way through or not at all. It's why I started this thread to see how many people actually get their green cards after using the ELIS system.


Likely my visit to the SSA and the ELIS site moving is just a coincidence.

Alas, when this type of mumbling occurs, it's USUALLY to send out the DHS Verification query.
