My AOS and IV bill were generated and NVC send me an email but I still cannot access it on their website. This is the message i am getting each time. Is anyone having similar issues? I received the invoice this afternoon. :This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

haha exactly! I like how you put it, nvc = one royal mess. we'll call senator's office if we get another useless response from nvc tomorrow, although the fear here is the senator's office takes a few days to get back to us also. fingers crossed.

LOL thanks :) I try to be funny because if I didn't, my husband and I would go nuts lol. The congressman was a lot quicker than we'd expected, actually - we're keeping fingers crossed that the senator is someone who lights fires under people's butts for a living, and that they help you fast!

***side note: is it just me or does anyone ELSE notice the amount of NVC error issues there are right about now? Is this normal? If it is, I think they may want to return the useless monkeys they have working for them now, and hire on a more elite breed...just sayin'

Just spoke to an operator at the NVC. As I expected no interview date has been assigned on our case yet. However, the operator did say that they have not completed the process of assigning interview dates for May, or at least they have not informed the operators of this. I asked if they normally do get informed and he told me that they do. So there is still hope for those that have recently received case closed who missed the boat for interviews last week.

That's awesome you got the email! You're the second person so far to get one today. But also the second person to not see anything on the payment portal headbonk.gif

Glad it's just $230 though and not $305 like I thought kicking.gif

Yea it's strange that it is not showing. Maybe it will popup tonight. One thing I noticed last time before the AOS invoice was that the payment portal gave me that "case is in the process of being terminated" message that you mentioned in the first page, and that was at night. I have not seen it yet, so maybe that's why it is not shown yet. And I do agree, $230 is not so bad

Just tried to call the NVC, got a busy signal. I know they tend to be busier on Monday, but first time i've called and had a busy signal.

I will call back a bit later and i'm sure they will tell me no interview has been assigned for our case yet. I will then try to calmly explain that we would have been ready for an interview date last week had they not incorrectly rejected my wife's divorce decree. I doubt they will care or offer a solution. My next step will be to request an expedite due to NVC error.

Between USCIS taking 7 months to adjudicate the I-130 petitions and this issue at the NVC I feel like they should accept an expedite request. I know waiting another month won't kill us, but I can't just sit back and not try to get it done sooner.

So just called NVC and they don't see an invoice for me and don't know when it will be generated, the operator was actually of no help. I didnt know that a change of fee would have caused such a big break down in there system.

The NVC has proven to be more than a bit difficult for many of us these past few weeks. When people ask for the pros and cons of IR-1/CR-1 vs K-1 visas it should be pointed out that K-1 visas pass through the NVC just long enough to get a case number assigned and then they are off to the foreign embassy/consulate.

I still think NVC > USCIS because they don't have a 5 month+ backlog, but they are really testing my patience.

Please refer to the first page with the FAQ. I included a question about what that message means.

For those of you with new IV invoice emails (yay!) but when did you get the DS-3032 approved? I am hoping they are going in some sort of order over there, and not just adding cases at random. This waiting over a week for the new bill to show up as something besides $0.00 is frustrating.

3/9/12 NOA2 email (got hardcopy on 3/16)

3/19 NVC received case

3/30 Case number

4/3 AOS bill invoiced and paid (in process)

4/4 DS-3032 Accepted

4/4 AOS bill reads PAID

4/6 AOS package delivered to NVC

4/10 AOS package approved!

4/25 IV bill Finally! invoiced and paid (in process)

4/27 IV bill PAID

4/30 IV package delivered to NVC

5/2 Case COMPLETE!
