The embassy called my husband yesterday. They asked my husband to send a written and signed statement saying that he has never been arrested in any country in the world. My husband is from Pakistan and currently living in Saudi Arabia. He submitted police reports from both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He travelled to many countries in the past few years and most of these were work related. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is it a good sign or bad sign? Does it mean AP will be over soon or might last longer? any ideas?

Sounds like they are wanting the last bit of verification? At least i hope so... you know kind of like we've searched high and low and can't find anything so now if you write a statement we can proceed kind of thing... I pray it's good news for you soon!!!!!!! Hang in there!!!

Hi Emmy,,, Finally the embassy have all the documents they asked for,, On the day of the interview we were asked to submit a new joint sponser, and after abt one month the embassy called Mohsin and told them that they need 2011 tax papers from me and 1 yr of bank statement, however they had the bank statement and the new joint sponser a while back, but finally as of today they have the 2011 tax papers too,, so now the waitinn continues,, but atlest i know i have provided everything that they asked for.. Btw anything new at your end? Inshallah u will hear something very soon.

The embassy called my husband. They asked him to submit a written signed statement saying that he has never been arrested in any country in the world. They asked him to send the document via fedex asap. I don't know how long it might take after they receive the statement.
