Faisal Khan I don't think the embassy is giving less visas. They give out many visas to women everyday. For years they have been putting 99% of males in AP.

Carolyn is right.. and remember we are only a portion of visa applicants. There are many out there who don't use Visa Journey like we do. It's very hard to say exactly how many are given daily and to whom.

Samranaz-The CO that came out never came to the house to talk to my husband or his family.

Maabish- There is no email address for Mr. David T. Donahue I had to write him a letter. 2 days after I emailed the embassy saying I would file the Writ of Mandamus they sent a CO to Sialkot, my husband's city. I believe that email got results.

i wrote a notice for writ of mandamus on monday and sent it to embassy at pakivquery@email and i think and hope that it will affect positively. itold them all the situation and then i asked tem that if you dont take action on my case then i am forced to take option of writ of mandamus.

carolyn if file this writ please do advise me in this regard. tyhanks

Will it ever end?, i feel like it will never end, 8 months and still no clue when this AP will be over.

Unless you have an appointment you can't go into the embassy. Just make copies of all the documentation of her visit. All her boarding passes etc any other thing that shows she is there in pakistan. Send that to the embassy to verify her visit. It probably won't make it go any faster but it is good proof that you are still together.

I have a question for the masses here, would mean a lot if someone can help me! (I'm the bloke who had his K1 interview in Islamabad just a week 'fore your hubby, EAbbas)

Got a call from the US Embassy in Islamabad today, and was told they are sending me my passport back since 'tis expiring on February 7th. But they told me to send them my new passport ASAP (with an emphasis on the ASAP mind you) and also send them my new medical after having it done, as the old one expired.

I hate to speculate but what I've read everywhere about AP tells me if they get in contact with you about your passport to either send it to them with your new medical exam or send it without the medical ninety percent of the time it means a case that's been processed and approved. Also it makes me wonder since they require six months validity on your passport, why did they not get in contact with me in August (when the passport ran out of such validity officially) and are contacting me now rather when it has less than a couple weeks. Is it chance, or should I afford a little happiness on mine and the lovely's part? So what should I expect here... is the processing complete on my case, the reason why they are asking me to send these two things to them as soon as I receive me old passport?

Suffice to say I've been a bit shaky ever since the morn, would love any and all input I can get... thanks!
