I have envisioned my fiance walking off the plane in Washington DC sooo many times. The scene that flashes past my eyes is the fact that my two children are sooo very excited to finally meet the Man they have learned to call "Pappa" that they will without any doubt both leave me and run to him and probably almost knock him over with hugs. That is the first thing I think of when I think of him coming home to his family.

The first place I will take him will be back to what will be our home in Maryland. To see first hand the place we are living that he has only seen in pictures and on webcam.

The first place we will visit will be the small town in New Mexico where I grew up. He has shown me pictures of Kahuta where he lives (and where I am not allowed to go as US Citizen) but it looks so very much like the place that I call home. And that is where my best female friend lives (my older sister) whom is the first person in my family that he must meet!

I should add my story as well , I was living in Ireland at the time when I met nur she visited me in Ireland 2 times and after that we decided that we should get engaged and start the k1 process everything was OK until my interview I had my interview in Dublin Ireland where they put me in AP the interview was on the 26th September 2011 . the CO Kept my Passport and told me that I will get my visa within 3 months and did not give me a any thing like a form or a reference latter in the eveing i got a call from embassy telling me submit my Cv With my education and work details so i e mailed it to them on the same day .sounds good but unfortunately I had a medical emergency and had to come back to Pakistan for the surgery as its cheap and no waiting time here in Pakistan. After that I thought that i will go to us one day so why not spend the AP days with the family so I requested the Dublin Embassy to transfer my file to Islamabad. On 22nd November i got an e mail from Islamabad telling me that they have received my file and it need additional processing time and if I don't hear from them in 6 month I should contact them .so i am now waiting here in Pakistan waiting in the AP and dying day by day to be with her .

Ok.. sweet little story I thought I'd share with you.. someone sent it to me :) Enjoy the read ;) Everybody don't think About the AP for the next two days... nobody to call nobody to to email anyway so your job this weekend is to focus on your spouse/fiance and talk about your future!!!!

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years. They had shared everything. They had talked about everything.

They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little Old woman had a shoe box in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box, but One day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said She would not recover.

In trying to sort out their affairs, the little old man took down the shoe box and took it to his wife's bedside. She agreed that it was time that he should know what was In the box. When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls And a stack of money totalling $95,000.

'When we were to be married,' she said, ' my grandmother told me The secret of a happy marriage was to never argue.

She told me that If I ever got angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll.'

The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears. Only two Precious dolls were in the box.

She had only been angry with him two Times in all those years of living and loving.. He almost burst with Happiness.

'Honey,' he said, 'that explains the dolls, but what about all of this money? Where did it come from?'

'Oh,' she said, 'that's the money I made from selling the dolls.' :bonk:

it may not be anything to do with doubts but with name checks and background checks. Sometimes i feel very lucky that we had our CO call and do phone interview and then tell us that our case is fine nothing we had to worry about and the only thing left was name checks. That's where we have been ever since. Luckily our congressman is good and explained how name checks work.. it isnt a fast process at all.. its hurry up and wait in line then process the check when its completed ther it goes into another que for another check... but there are other ppl in line so its a long process just hang in there im sure its just checks. It will happen soon im sure.
