Thanks for the welcome and the awesome info, this truly is a good resource thread.

Hey Wendie!! Good to see you around girl!!

Can you please post that wedding bee site here for us please?

Here is the link to The Knot.com for all of us happily engaged brides to be! (kinda fun for me to 'think' about all this ... just hate it's so dependent on when we're at the POE!)

http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-planning.aspx

Thanks!

Mari,

Thanks for the clean-up :) as a software engineer I tend to write a bit technical. I also posted out onto the main to share with others.

Dear Software Engineer Dan:

When you get a moment, can you please get a hold of me via Message? I would like to know if you would make us a little Excel spread sheet, using the Dec filer's names from Mrs.Loxy (Dizzy's timeline).

But on this Excel, we would have our checklist for Preparation for NOA2 documents! I can give you the documentation requirements for medical examination, as well as the document list for the interview. This way we can see where each of us are in obtaining records!! It would be a great resource for all of us!

So.... are you willing? Game?

Thank you!!!

Mari

PS: IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO THAT IS OK TOO.... I will seek another. Cheers! :star: And please say hello to the Bride to be!

you guys are so awesome!

I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly before we go ahead and do anything stupid :P

SO if I understand what I'm reading, we can get Em's vaccinations or at least some of them beforehand and then bring those vaccination records to the medical exam in Ciudad Juarez when we go for the interview, we just cannot do the medical exam because that has to be with one of the approved clinics in Ciudad Juarez.

I just don't want to end up paying 1000 dollars at the medical exam when we go to the interview because he has no medical records therefore no way to prove that he indeed has had some vaccinations.

Is this correct or am I wrong?

GRACIAS! B-)

:luv: Hellooooo Brats my friend! :luv:

Before you get any vaccinations anywhere, you want to make sure of the ones he's already had. PLEASE. for Example: Tetanus. Every 10 years. See the list of vaccinations from the USCIS official site, and ask him if he's had any of them. See list CDC & US Immigration Requirements for Vaccines (next post) . And I will continue to research too.

Mari

PS: Remember when you took cuts in front of me on that Igor's list? LOL LOL

USEFUL LINKS: Re: VACCINATION Requirements

1. Center for Disease Control ( Immigrant / refugee health laws):

http://www.cdc.gov/i...mmigration.html

Notice of Revised Vaccination Criteria for U.S. Immigration

On November 13, 2009, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) posted a Federal Register Notice revising the vaccination criteria for U.S. immigration. CDC will use these criteria for vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to decide which vaccines will be required for U.S. immigration. The criteria will be used at regular periods, as needed, by CDC. The new vaccination criteria are:

  • The vaccine must be age-appropriate* for the immigrant applicant
  • The vaccine must protect against a disease that has the potential to cause an outbreak.
  • The vaccine must protect against a disease that has been eliminated or is in the process of being eliminated in the United States.

*ACIP recommends vaccines for a certain age range in the general U.S. public. These ACIP recommendations will be used to decide which vaccines are age-appropriate for the general immigrant population.

These new criteria will be in effect as of December 14, 2009.

2. Current Vaccination Criteria for US Immigration:

http://www.cdc.gov/i...immigration.pdf

Current Vaccination Requirements

Current immigration law requires that immigrants have proof of vaccination against

Mumps Measles Rubella Tetanus and diphtheria Meningococcal disease Pneumococcal disease Haemophilus influenzae type B

Rotavirus Varicella Influenza Hepatitis A Hepatitis B Pertussis Polio

(Hib)

Note: As of December 14, 2009 the human papilomavirus (HPV) and zosters vaccines are not required for immigrants

OK you can do the research more on your own. I do not have anything more current than these , but you can also go here:
