We submitted everything to the allocated Mumbai VAC drop-off location on 06/18 and consulate received our papers on 6/19. There was no change in status on CEAC until 6/25. On 6/25 the status changed to "Administrative Processing" and finally the magical "Issued" on 6/26. The passport was delivered to pick-up location on 6/28 and we collected on 6/29. NOTE: I (petitioner) had enough income but I was out of job for around 8 months. So all of you who are applying please make sure to have back up joint sponsor if you recently got a job. NVC doesn't care about your recent job but CO at your local consulates can be strict and you will not know about it until your interview. So all of you having similar issues, do get a joint sponsor! POE: The officer took our passports and asked where I (petitioner) live. No questions asked for my husband. Stamped and we were asked to go to the secondary examination room. The officer took his passport and yellow packet and submitted to another officer in the secondary room. Even before we could take a seat they called my husband's name and returned his passport saying everything is good. Customs was crowded but since we didn't carry any food, it was a breeze. | 2022-06-27 | |||
