USPS claimed to have delivered passport which never arrived?

I'm asking this for a family member. She had her ceremony early last month, and applied for the passport at USPS a few days after. They sent back the certificate (Thank God) about 2 weeks after, but the passport was never received. After waiting for a week, thinking they were still processing, she called the DHS passport office. They claimed to have delivered the passport 2 weeks ago (a few days before the certificate). They gave her a USPS tracking number which showed that the passport was delivered. But it was never received. I know that there is a form to file to report a passport lost in the mail, and they can replace it, but I was wondering if anyone had come across anything like this? We're going to USPS to inquire about the package tomorrow. If they claim it was delivered and there is nothing they can do, what else could we try? Unfortunately she lives in an apartment complex where there are 100+ mailboxes adjacent to each other, and the mailboxes don't indicate house numbers. Hence asking neighbors is not an option.

"Certificate Of Naturalization Was Issued" date should match oath date?

This may seem like a silly question, but.... I had my swear-in oath exactly 2 weeks ago, but my status on (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) was still at "We mailed your oath letter" for almost 2 weeks. It's not until today that my status changed to: "On September 6, 2018, we issued your Certificate of Naturalization for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, ". But the date given (Sept. 6th, e.g. today's date) doesn't seem right. My certificate was clearly issued on the day of my oath ceremony.

For those of you who recently naturalized, is there also a difference between the date they gave on the page, and your oath ceremony date? Thank you.

Oath ceremony de-scheduled but rescheduled again

I woke this morning to an almost heart dropping notification, and upon logging into my account it said that my Oath (August 23rd) had been descheduled. They gave almost no reason for it, only "due to unforeseen circumstances." Thankfully a few hours later I received another email stating that my file was transferred to another USCIS office, and that my oath ceremony had been scheduled again.

Has this happened to anyone? My case is a bit unique because during my application process I resided in Michigan, but had to move back to Ohio application was pending. I distinctly remember updating my physical address in the N-400 application, as my mailing address in Ohio is where I moved back. But I guess USCIS it didn't update on USCIS' end. I ended up doing my interview in Detroit as a result, the IO who seemed like a senior IO was able to approve it on the spot but said that my oath could only be in Ohio. 3 days later I viewed my oath letter online and it was still Detroit. I was confused but nonetheless "trusted the process", but it was weird because the IO had already told me I was doing it in Ohio. I guess they finally realized and transferred my file, and rescheduled my oath. The oath letter still hasn't shown up in the online account, but I will update.

My husband's case has been under AP since the day of his interview (May 15). We submitted all the documents to the embassy per the 221 g form he received at the interview. We dropped off the requested information at the nearby Citic bank in Hangzhou on June 8, 2018. I followed up with them by email asking if they received the documents. They replied on June 14 that they haven't received it. However, they sent another email on June 21 per below.

Does it meant they approve his visa and that's why they want him to submit his passport and photograph? We sent both document in since last Friday June 22 via Citic bank office in Hangzhou. I sent a follow up email on Monday June 25 to remind them to return our original documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate, background checks from Thailand, Guinea and China) with the passport.

The reply I received yesterday is below:

Dear Petitioner,

Thank you for your email. Your case is currently under review. Once the review is completed, we will notify you of the next steps.

Sincerely,

Why did they ask him to send in his passport and photos if the case is still under review? Does anybody else experience the same situation?

I am appreciated any input or guidance. We are so confused.

Any N-400 Columbus Ohio field office fillers? (January?)

I applied for citizenship via mail at the end of December 2017, just about a few weeks short of the 5 years. Since we're allowed to apply within 90 days of the full 5 years, this should be okay.

My biometric appointment was scheduled and completed during Mid-January 2018. Ever since I've completed my fingerprints my status has not changed. It's still stuck at " We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time . We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on January 2018. " It's been exactly 6 months since the fingerprint, still no words on an interview. My application is fairly standard e.g. no criminal history, registered for selective services etc... Anyone else still waiting for an interview, or has completed their journey?
