We were blessed to find that the interviewer, at the final step, was a pretty woman who had a beautiful, broad smile on her face, which emanated calmness and welcome so much so, as to put our hearts at ease. With that, she asked if I was the petitioner, for which I replied I was, and then she asked me to please have a seat and she would call me if she needed me. From there, I thought to myself, thank you for placing such a kind person in front of us to calm us and to handle the final step of the process in Mumbai. My partner related that she asked the usual questions that most here have reported. Who calls you, where is he from, how did you meet and then asked to see a few more documents such as call logs, emails, pictures...the usual, the whole time smiling with a friendly demeanor that had a calming and assuring affect. From the gallery seating section, I was reading the body language (or trying to) and knowing him as only I do, I felt good about how everything was progressing until Neel finally turned, papers in hand... waved the approved slip. My heart was so full of joy and relief at that moment it brought tears to my eyes...happy, wonderful tears that this was finally done...for now. I can't actually describe the feeling inside, but for those who have gone before us and for which this process was long and arduous , well, you know what I mean! It was truly exhilarating! We will now go back to the hotel, relax, have a nice dinner and spend the next 4 days together planning our future with more certainty. My only tip for those who still to meet this end, please try and relax (and I know it's so difficult) but like the couples who have said before me, be confident and true to who you are and follow your heart when offering the remarks to the questions. Soon you will sail through the interview and most likely will end up with a positive outcome as well. I wish you all the very best in life ahead. Namaste...Chipper52 2020-10-24

I am still waiting for the hard copy for over a month. I called them and they are sending a new one, but I also called the NVC and they gave me all my information. I updated them with email addresses and confirmed my address. That same day, we received a notice that it was forwarded on to Manila Consulate. I am not sure if it is the date or not. Once the NOA2 arrives, I will scan it with NOA1 and send them both to Patriz to go pay her fees. 2020-07-18

I made my email as comprehensive as possible (without being too wordy) by including bullet points detailing that we had gone through all the steps and gathered all the required documents. Most importantly, I requested if it was possible to be interviewed on the first week of November 2019 (3th-7th) as our NOA2 was to expire on 11th November 2019 2 days later, I received an email confirmation that my interview had been booked for Tuesday 5th November 2019. I arrived in Abu Dhabi for my interview at 5:20AM and was the first in line when other applicants started arriving at around 6:30AM. 1. The counter opened at around 7:30AM. The lady behind the counter verified by passport and interview letter 2. I went through screening, placing all my documents, purse, jewelry etc aside. The gentleman then took my phones and headphones and gave me a paper with a number written on it. I would later use this to collect my items. Please note to carry a small wallet or purse as big bags were not allowed. 3. I then proceeded to another sitting area where I waited for about 10 minutes. Then I proceeded into the inner building. The gentleman at the entrance gave me a number and instructed me to sit and wait. I did note that the room was rather cold, so it's good to have on something warm. 4. There were about 10 counters which opened at exactly 8:00AM. Pay special attention to the red screen on the wall right on-top of the TV set which is where the numbers appear as you'd hate to miss your number. I approached counter 9 once my number reflected on the screen. The lady asked for my passport, my fiance's tax transcripts, my 3 police clearance certificates, passport photos, my original birth certificate, our passport copies and DS-160 confirmation. I had not yet paid the AED 265 interview fee, so she gave me a payment slip and I proceeded to the cashier counter. I'd highly advice having smaller bills/exact cash. After payment, I went back to the counter and the lady took my fingerprints. Then I proceeded to sit and wait 5. I then went to another counter and had another set of fingerprints taken and again a rather long wait. 6. Finally, I was instructed to go into a specific room. I was calm and the interviewer was super welcoming as well. She dived right into it; where we met, how long we had been together, our families, when we're planning to have the wedding, where are we going to live, his current residence, how often do we see each other, have I ever been to or applied for a US visa before, been married or have a baby. In total took about 8-10 minutes, after which she handed me a handbook together with an approval note and told me my visa would be ready for collection in about a week. I then left the embassy at 9:20AM 7. Later received an email notification that my passport was in transit 2 days later. I collected my visa on 10th November 2019. 2019-11-14
