JoyDee got a reaction from Pray&Hope in is thats maybe why may case sent back ?
That sounds preposterous! I can see if someone calls the consulate and says you are getting married just for US entry, which would be the best way for a(n evil) family member to go. Saying that your parents disapprove (who knows why you'd even consider saying that) should have no bearing on the legitimacy of the relationship or the intention to marry. Here's where its better to keep your mouth shut, both at the interview and around the watering can.
This article again makes me feel like I'm dealing with the Gestapo. Very much appreciate the Kafka-esque nature of the whole thing. Are there real people in there? Can we be human beings with human failings instead of paperwork that gets rejected because of a typo? sheesh. i'm turning into a giant insect over here thinking about it.

I'd make an Infopass appointment. They may also be able to give her an I-551 stamp while she is waiting for her new GC which would allow her to work and serve as her "green card" in the meantime.

although I'm learning just like you, but from my understanding, the people that you put you support on your support ap. would be the same like when you claim your income tax...even though you were still living with your parents at the time that he arrives it should still be 3 because that's how many people you're supporting, unless you support other people as well, get it??, and you claim them or will be claiming them on on your tax return...you understand??? well that's at least how I understand it. please correct me if I'm wrong...

Hello Haiti filers. The VJ community has been a big help to me and my fiance. He is finally here with me but not without help from VJ. One thing that helped me was talking to other people who filed in the Haiti portal. So I wanted to create a thread where we can all come together can talk about where we are in the VJ process and share with other Haiti filers about our experience, ask questions, and share about the experience. So an nous pale ansam pou yon aide lot or let's come together to help one another.

I personally wouldn't even waste my time or the money to track down the lawyer. Call USCIS to even see if the lawyer even sent in your paperwork. If not than do it yourself the bad to that is you already wasted 9 months which like the poster above said your man could have been by your side already or just about to have his interview. When you go in October just take some more pictures it wouldn't hurt as well as the letter of intent which he need to sign as well as the 325A which is his biographic information go to the USCIS website and search 129F instructions and hit the floor running.

I appreciate the update "Pushbrk" but my time line has already taken care of that aspect. I am under the impression that a ticker can be used informally by any member on VJ. Thanks again but unless it violates the TOS i'll like mine to remain just that...NOA3!

Similar to the previous poster, after following the instructions for writing name etc on the back of the photos, I put them in a ziplock bag and taped the bag to a blank sheet of paper. I did this for each of the three forms.
No RFE, no interview, just approval.

That's not nearly as worrisome as the fact that there are some Americans beyond the age of puberty who believe Superman and Batman are real people.
P.S. - Superman is covered by INA 249. He entered the US before January 1st, 1972 (first Action comic in 1938), has had his residence in the US since then, is a person of good moral character, and is not ineligible for citizenship or deportable.

    Nope sorry. WRONG.
If you come on a K1 and you've had all required shots then you don't need to see a CS.
If you come on a K1 and you need further shots you take the DS-3025 to a CS who does a vaccination transcription ONLY. There is NO new TB test required, and no x-ray and no new medical required.
The chest x-ray need not come to the US (from your K1 medical) but they recommend you do simply for your own personal (not immigration related) medical records.

There is an exception to INA 212(a)(6)(C )(ii). If both of your parents are US citizens, and you've been in the US since before you were 16 years old, and you honestly believed you were a US citizen when you made the claim, then the inadmissibility doesn't apply.
Get a good lawyer immediately, gather your evidence, and submit the motion to reopen before the 30 days has expired. You may think you can't afford a lawyer, but you can afford deportation even less.

I was not asking whether I should take the appointment or not and I will be prepared with what I have. I wanted to know what kind of questions that could be asked and doing my research anything is possible. I will not be intimidated by an interview(even if it is a stokes). I can only answer truthfully and honestly to whatever is asked and present the documentation to support it. I am goin to this interview with my husband as scheduled.

Effective January 4, 2010, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection will no longer make an alien inadmissible under section 212(a)(1)(A)(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (Act). This memorandum accordingly provides guidance for applications involving HIV.

well i spoke to a couple of ppl at my job that works for immigration and they said the stokes interview is for ppl that are married. and the reason ewhy they want the petitioner there is to see how we react with each other in the waiting room and to see if we are actually willing to travel on such short notice for the one we love. They also said they do ask questions but its basically regular questions UNLESS they think its fraud. which i doubt because they didnt even ask him any questions when he was there. and also i noticed that everyone who did the 129f in HAITI was called back. so ill just wait and see. i love my mr enough to be patient. and i will not hesitate to ask for a super visor if there are any problems.

years ago, my best friend's little sister was pregnant and homeless. i let her stay with me. about a month in she was a nightmare, arguing constantly and in general being intolerable. i asked her to leave. she refused. she went across town to visit my best friend and i took the opportunity to bag up her things and bring them to her, at her sisters house. i carried all her stuff up three flights of steps - all the while taking care of her things. afterall, i've had known this girl since she was eight and had no intentions of ending our friendship.
she opened the door, looked at her belongings and laughed at me -saying, you can't do that, i'm calling the cops.
i laughed it off and pulled up a seat - waiting for the cops to show up thinking that since i was the person with the lease and i had only offered to let her stay till she had a job and some money (of which she had both at the time).
sure enough, the cop told me that if someone lives in your residence for 30 days - you have no legal presence to kick them out other then formally filing to have them EVICTED. i would suggest going to your local courthouse and getting a court date. that is the only way to have them removed. and i would think that getting them evicted would be much faster than waiting on their visa decision and ICE.
these are the laws in virginia, i'm not sure if the laws are the same where you are - but if the cops have backed them about the thermostat thing, and there's a baby involved, doesn't look like you have many options.
she ended up leaving on her own in a couple days. i think her sister (my friend) talked some sense in to her young head. we're friends now, more because we are all like family, but good luck to you..i know how difficult it is to have someone fault you for being a good friend.

No! It is not 'normal' for an american man to act the way you describe! He is a bully and you are just seeing the tip of the iceberg now. Once you are married it will undoubtedly get worse. Marriage never fixes this kind of problem. How could a man treat you this way if he loves you? I am sorry but this does not sound like a good situation for you at all! You must ask yourself if there is any way that what you get from this relationship can make it worth it to be treated this way. Most american men treat their wives/girl-friends much better than this! You can do better!
