It's unusual, an dmeans they probably have concerns about your relationship. A dual interview does often last for several hours, and you will be questioned separately, in some details. They may ask you about eachother's families (checking that you know about the other's history and family), that your story about meeting etc match... if you have seen Green Card or The Proposal, a bit like that.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Smh this is crazy! I guess we haved no choice. I brought my ticket but I just want him here with me! I miss him so much.

How often have you traveled to visit your fiance? interviewing for 10 hrs who told you that, you might have to wait for several hours but the interview shouldn't take no more than 3 hours excluding the waiting time and that if there's suspicion about your relationship. My friend was interviewed with her fiance separately, but it was one hour each not 10hrs.

He went for the first interview and they called him back for a second? How long between the two interview dates?

My friend has her fiance's face tattooed on her lower back and they got grilled at the interview, unfortunately tattoos aren't a evidence of legit relationship. The good think about your relationship is the fact that you've traveled 4 times to see him.

At our interview we only had to wait 4 hours, and the interview itself took only 15 minutes roughly.

At our interview we only had to wait 4 hours, and the interview itself took only 15 minutes roughly.
This experience would not seem to apply, because the OP appears to be talking about a Stokes interview. These are quite serious and not at all to be taken lightly. Google the term (or, even better, search it here on VJ) for the ominous details.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

i went 4 times in 2009. and the last time i went that year i went august 1 came back september 10. i was supposed to go back in january but the earthquake hit.

Are they requiring this for everybody in Haiti? Ours is at the National Visa Center right now. I know it's hard to know until the day comes but man...I kind of hope we won't have to go through the dual interview...that's stressful!

im very stressed right now. not cause of the interview but because were not here together. if i didnt have such a good job i would be there with him.
Well, both of you should begin preparing NOW for the "dual" (Stokes) interview, just in case. If you go there for his first interview, they may invite you in and question you more normally than if he goes alone, gets a 221g, and you're ordered to appear. This last instance would certainly be a Stokes, and they're no laughing matter.

thank you. do you have any idea what they would ask?

They will ask everything, be prepared, they might yell at you accusing you of fraud to scare you off, they did this to my friend and her fiance, she said the guy was throwing papers all over the room and yelling shes a lie and were going to jail for visa fraud.

They will ask even for the color of your tooth brush and what toothpaste does each other use.
