  1. You're very welcome!

Glad you liked the supplemental sheet. I had to use two of them for the DS-230, so wanted to share that one with you to make it easier :)

And yup, I like my job. It's nice to finally be making money again since I quit my last job March 2010.

  2. If you do need a supplemental sheet, then I uploaded a sample of what I used. Of course, change the info so it reflects yours ;)

  3. Yup, if you don't have enough room on the application, then you can write it by hand. But if you don't have enough lines (for like the previous visits to the US), then it's better to attach a supplemental sheet that's typed up on the computer.

  4. Well, glad you found one already, and on sale too! Just hope your husband doesn't find it :P

And grats on getting the green card! And yup, you need a SSN to apply. Hopefully you get that soon :)

  5. Wow, can't believe you already have a dress! Lol. And I agree with your priorities ;)

  6. Nope, haven't had any ceremony yet, just the courtroom marriage last year. I really want a wedding (I want a white dress!), just not sure if my husband wants one... If we do, I really hope we get a honeymoon too, cause I want one of those as well.

  7. Yeah I really should remove my passport and SIN from my purse. Although I don't know my SIN by heart so I'm hoping I never need to know it while I'm away from home. Adjusting to life well here. Not horribly different from Canada. Oh, never been to Costa Rica! And haven't traveled with my husband anywhere yet :(

  8. Yeah, I know. Don't have a fireproof box or anything, I'd just have to put it in my desk or something. And omg, I still carry around my SIN card. I thought you could as Canadians? I thought it was just the SSN that you're like NEVER supposed to carry around >_

  9. Lol, I still carry my passport around in my purse, even though my green card's in there as well XD

And hopefully you get your SSN soon so it saves you a trip to the SSA office and more waiting.

  10. Grats on the welcome/receipt notice! You should be getting your green card soon :) But remember, your visa and stamp in your passport act as a temporary green card for a year ;) When did you do POE? If it's been 3 weeks or more, then go apply at a SSA office!

  11. Oh wow. In SD, you can just turn over your Canadian driver's license, and if it's not expired, you just need to take the vision test. No written or road test. Which I'm happy about. Don't want to re-do them XD

  12. Don't mind you asking at all. I work at Target, up at the front, mostly in Food Avenue (restaurant) and then sometimes as cashier.

  13. One year ago today, my husband sent off the I-130 package to USCIS. Nine months later, I finally got my visa.

  14. Yup, just keep your license for now until you know where you're going to be living. And my weekend's been good. Gotta work today though, lol.

  15. I actually tried applying a few weeks ago to a SD driver's license, but failed the vision test, thus failing to get a driver's license. Waiting to get enough money to get an eye exam and new glasses, then I'll try again.

  16. It's not that they may be annoyed, it's just that you may not be in the system. That's why it's suggested to wait 3 weeks.

  17. Well, some jobs might require you to have a SSN. Although I've heard some will hire you "conditionally" and will with-hold pay until you get a SSN. And yeah, I waited 3 weeks from POE, didn't get in mail, so I applied in person, received 10 days later.

  18. I never called DHL. Two days after my interview, I got an email from DHL with my waybill number. And it was ready for pick up the next day. Glad your passport is ready though! Have a safe POE!

  19. Just read your review :) It was definitely weird that the guard selected random people to go up in the elevator first. For mine, it was whoever was nearest to him. It should have been faster for you, but oh well, you were approved!

  20. Yay! *dances* Congrats on your approval!

  21. As of two days ago (on Wednesday), I've officially got a job :)

  22. Last sentence: Good luck! :)

  23. Yeah, there's a maximum amount of characters allowed. You probably went over :P

Anyways, I'd suggest getting to the consulate around 6:30am so you can get in and out quickly. Make sure you triple check you have all documents. And be organized! Makes giving documents in a lot easier. And make sure you don't bring anything not allowed inside (backpacks, electronics, etc). Goo...

  24. And by the way, the last sentence of your comment cut off, so I don't know what you asked me :P

  25. Glad it went well! I had to get an extra shot myself (flu shot) which I wasn't expecting, and my total was nearly the same as yours. And I believe they would tell you if something is wrong. I didn't hear anything when I picked up my results, so I assumed no news was good news.
