  1. The 'Document Cover Sheet' is now available upon paying a bill. Again, click on the AOS, and then near the bottom of the page, look for the button that says 'Print Document Cover Sheet'. On that sheet, the address for where to send the AOS package is there.

  2. Go back to the online portal, click on the AOS, and find the button that says 'print document cover sheet'. That's the bar-coded cover sheet that needs to be sent with the package and contains the address on it.

  3. As long as the bills are invoiced, you can pay the bills whenever, at midnight, on the weekends, doesn't matter.

  4. The IV fee is $404. Yes, NVC is open. Please come to the NVC April thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/360415-nvc-filers-april-2012/ Just read the first post which contains links to guides and such, as well as an FAQ I put together.

  5. Updated my signature with a more thorough and complete timeline :)

  6. Congrats! I remember following your case back in October 2010 in the monthly NVC thread. So glad everything FINALLY worked out for you two! You definitely deserve it!

  7. Grats on the approval! *dance emoticon*

  8. Why are you looking for the form? You can just follow the email template found here on VJ's wiki section...

  9. The best way to know if something was received and/or processed by NVC is by calling the operators.

  10. Just filed US tax returns. Expected refund as MFJ is $2925 :) Now to file my Canadian tax returns at some point XD

Dumb question but I just filed my I-130 petition. Is there a March Filers for the USCIS portion? Or I just wait until I get my NOA2? When do I get to be a NVC filer?

I'm sure there's a USCIS March filer thread. Just look around in the IR-1/CR-1 forum. And you can follow the March NVC thread to gather knowledge and such, but you really get to be with it once you hit NVC, which should be in about 5 months.

Thank you I was directed to it. appreciate your help.

  11. DOS stands for Department of State. Their immigration number is 202-663-1225 (press 1, then 0).

  12. Got promoted to 'organizer' on VJ :)

  13. I actually hadn't heard of it. I just thought I had to file a regular tax return and that would be my last one. I'll have to look into it...

  14. Yeah, I got married May 2010, filed sometime I think in March 2011. I was able to e-file for CRA, but not for Quebec. Said I had to print the e-file PDF out and mail it to them with my tax slips as I wasn't eligible to e-file.

  15. I couldn't e-file not because I was a resident. I believe it was cause I married a US citizen.

  16. Well, I tried e-filing my taxes last year, but for the provincial ones it didn't allow me so I had to mail them in. I'm thinking cause we're no longer residents of Canada, we're not eligible for e-filing.

  17. After 2011 taxes are done though, that's the last time you have to file (as long as you don't move back or make income there).

  18. The only reason you have to file for 2011 taxes is cause you resided in Canada. And even if you made $0, you still have to do it. I didn't have a job in Canada in 2011, but I still have to file since I lived there for 5 months.

  19. Hi! My Thanksgiving was good. Spent it with my husband's family.

And yes, you have both US and Canada taxes. Lots of fun XD

  20. Ewwww. I really hate snow, lol. Thankfully, I haven't seen any yet here. And I hope it stays that way!! XD

  21. Hi! I'm doing good. School, work, school, work XD Both my husband and I are doing well. Hope the same for you! And yeah, starting to get real cold here in SD as well :( My phone says flurries today but I refuse to see snow this year XD

  22. Grats on getting the SS#! And grats on getting a second interview, hope it goes well and they accept your salary expectations.

And yup, having a good week. School and work as usual.

How did you go about getting this approval? I have been told by some people here that CitiBank and American Express take into account previous membership. I have both and am hoping that it'll help! Any advice on things to do prior to entry that may help would be great!

Thanks for all your advice and Wiki, even though it's for Canadian's there are some gems in there for Australians!

  24. It's 9 now over on the east coast, so good luck with the SSA office! Keeping my fingers crossed you can get your number!

Sounds like you'll be busy like I am, school and work.

Your second message got cut off so it ended abruptly :P

And you have a great weekend as well!

  25. If it's been 3 weeks, then get your butt to a SSA office and apply! Not sure if you can get the number right away, I didn't even ask when I applied for mine.

Good luck with your interview on Monday!

And btw, finally took my passport out of my purse :P
