    Sent in my application yesterday to get my Canadian passport renewed. Hope there's no issues and I get the new one quickly!

      If your green card is in your married name and your passport is in your maiden name, just bring your marriage certificate. Simple as that :) And it's only a 2 year condition on the green card. That's why you apply for ROC two years after POE (90 days within your expiration on your green card).

    1. Documents for the IV package either have to be originals or certified copies.

    2. They have grandparents' info on birth certificates in India? O_o Anyway, no, it shouldn't matter. And again, it has to either be the original or a certified copy.

    Most people receive it within a few weeks, but could take a few months. Have you received the welcome letter yet? It contains a case number (like with the I-130 petition), which you can log onto USCIS's site and track your green card's progress.

    Packet 3 is for K1 applicants, not IR-1/CR-1 applicants. Packet 4 is the interview letter. If you gave over both email addresses, this letter will be emailed once an interview date has been assigned.

    Hi! I used to live in Montreal. I went to the Medisys panel physician there. Not sure where you heard that, but it doesn't take months to get a medical appointment. At most, a few weeks.
