  1. According to your timeline, you applied for an IR-1/CR-1 visa and the I-130 was approved in June. I'm confused by your comment on my profile... Was your I-130 approved or was it transferred to a local office? Are you applying for an IR-1/CR-1 visa or applying for AOS?

I'm doing good! And you? How's your interview preparation coming?

  3. You're welcome. And good luck!

  4. Always worth a try! Just call up NVC and ask how to do an expedite. They'll walk you through the steps needed.

  5. Calling the embassy will do nothing as they have no idea about you. Only USCIS and NVC know about you at the moment. If a medical emergency has risen, you can try requesting an expedite with NVC for an interview date to be assigned sooner, and with a sooner date.

  6. You're welcome!! And take your time!! I took quite awhile to respond, so no rush! Plus, you just got approved, go celebrate!!

    You're welcome! ^_^

No, it means from high school and up. Don't include kindergarten or elementary.

  9. You're welcome :)

  10. If your husband and son are US citizens, then you would write 'none' for 31a and 31b. These two questions are referring to people IMMIGRATING with you.

  11. Happy Canada Day!

What are you talking about? I never dropped off the radar O_o

  12. Grats!! Right before the weekend too ;)

  13. Omg, I so wish I could sign up for some kind of NVC tour. I'd be over the moon if I could visit that place and see what actually goes on there!

  14. Nope, there's no interview fee. The only possible fee would be a courier one, but this is country-specific. For Canada, it's free. I don't know about Peru.

  15. DOS = Department of State, it's another place to call to see if an interview date has been assigned.

  16. Yay, grats! Usually, the interview date is scheduled within a month of case complete, typically two weeks. Just call NVC and DOS each day ;)

Nope, I didn't. Kinda hard to bring food through security. I did have some poutine while I was in Canada though ;)

  18. Hehe, no problem ^_^

  19. Yay, your signature looks awesome! Glad you got it to work! :)

  20. You're welcome. And good luck!

  21. They most likely haven't gotten to your IV package yet. Don't worry. What you received is a false checklist. It happens when NVC reviews another package and accepts it. Just keep calling NVC every day. You'll get a case complete soon ;)

  22. That might just be a false checklist. It's possible they just finished reviewing your AOS package and automatically generated this checklist. I'd call and confirm.

  23. I'm not sure if this is how I did it (it was quite awhile ago!), but when you're in the signature editing section, click on the "Insert Image" button (fifth from the right, on the bottom), then insert the link to your direct image on Photobucket, save it. That should work.

  24. An IV package still needs to be mailed. The DS-230/DS-260 isn't the only thing in the IV package. There's 2 passport photos, birth and marriage certificate, police certificate, copy of bio-data page of passport.
