You maybe right, but either way, it's gonna get hot. But my personal opinion, is this guy is a reject, and figured he could land a hotie for the price of a plane ticket and the cost of K1 Petition.. What he doesn't realize, Ukrainian, Colombian, or wherever. these women arent stupid, they're hopful that they'll meet a decent guy.. But too often they find the guy isn't what he pretended to be, and wise up to the game..

Your husband is already a US citizen. He doesn't file for adjustment of status. You do. The only thing your husband needs to do is submit an affidavit of support along with your adjustment of status paperwork. I'm guessing that if you guys had the money to pay the AOS fees then your husband would be willing to sign an affidavit of support.
When you say "My husband won't file my AOS" what you're really saying is "My husband won't give me the money so I can file my AOS". You've already explained why this is true. Your husband isn't getting enough work, and simply doesn't have the money. Apparently, he doesn't have the money to file his taxes yet, either. If he's a sensible person then he understands the consequences of not filing his taxes are potentially more severe than not paying for your adjustment of status. What's more, his affidavit of support won't be accepted if he hasn't filed his taxes yet.

Nothing bothers men more than financial problems. Men like to think of themselves as being the providers for their family. When they have difficulty fulfilling this role then they can become deeply depressed, and it can seriously affect their mood. Jumping on their backs about it will only make things profoundly worse.
Sit down and have a talk with your husband, with specific emphasis on the fact that you'd like to try to help him. Do you give him ####### about buying you new clothes or taking you out to nice restaurants? Tell him you'll stop doing that so that you two can save a little money every month. Tell him you'll eat ramen noodles or Kraft macaroni if it will help to lighten up your budget and save some money. Tell him you'll skip the monthly remittances you send back to your family, or the $100+ in calling cards, or the fancy smart phone with the data plan, or the 400 cable TV channels. Tell him you'll do whatever it takes to help get your household finances in order and save the money you need to pay the fees.
Your husband is not your enemy. He's the only one who can help you do this, but you've got to help him.

That's the issue with internet, I guess, they let anyone in...

I want to add, in my personal esperience.. the things my wife showed me and did while she struggled to find ways to manage shocked me.. it progressively became worse.. One time I saw her just walking down the street and saw her crying.. I was completely caught off guard by the emotional things she struggled with and how she handled it all.. At times, we both felt like you guys.. One thing that helped us to to let her know, there wasnt a reason once she had her AP and GC that she couldn't go back to her home country and spend time there.. That sense that she wasn't "Stuck" here help a lot.. But honestly it wasnt easy.. I remember thinking, :this wasnt the women I married... There were times when we used the "D" word and considered just giving up.. Honestly, I could have been more sensitive to what she was going through, bur too often, I reacted badly at first, then caught myself being an inconsiderate "Dumb A$$" and realized I can't judge her on the same level as I would have; if I had Spouse from down the street.. Really, no two people react the same way emotionally to similiar circumstances..
You can't dismiss her current emotional state as anything else, until you and her have time to get through this adjustment period..
Our experience was not unique.. I learned from others who I met in person (through VJ) who dealt with many of the same deep emotions (in some cases worst) than us.. You know latinas and latin countries (ok, basically anyplace outside the US) have some very diferent social activiites than Americans.. Our lives are typically low keyed (for the most part), our families aren't as close, and many Americans dont understand these factors.. Your family and friends (unless they've been outside the US for any significant time) also will not understand it.. So; dont rely on thier guidance or couseling.. repeat; dont rely on thier guidance or couseling.. .. Again dont rely on thier guidance or couseling.. .. Please; this is huge.. Marriage couseling also rarely is as effective as "Understanding"... In the end, she will love you more for that, then any other single thing and naturely your relationship will strengthen with time..
My suggestion is try really hard to put yourself in her shoes... and try really hard to understand how the diferences may be affecting her..
Listen, on a seperate note, get her AOS sumitted.. That way if she at least has her AP doc, and; if she must leave on an urgent basis, she can with no major concequences..
Plan a couple of trips, either together or her alone.. Buy the tickets and put them on the dresser.. so at least she knows, there is a option to make trips back every once-in-a-while...

But I really have to say how sad I was for you reading the attacks.. Some VJ'rs are so nasty.. And it's usually the same ones all the time..
I really hope that those who love to attack realize how your comments can affect someone strugling with issues.. There simply isnt a good reason to attack regardless of the circumstances..

Hi, I went to court on 18th, i didn't have a chance to talk much, i didn't even show my hospital records, but i got restraining order for 1 year. He was there too, he was talking talking talking, telling a lot of lies on me. However i got it. Then i went to immigr. office and got free attorney to help me with immigr. problem. They said it's actually pretty typical when abuser calles the police first so they will be able to explane it. Also they will help me with my other stuff, like divorce, hearings for spousal and child support. I got som welfare money too, they will pay me some food stamps and some cash. They also will go after him to make him pay them back that money, caz we married. Ok now im printing my pictures with my husband together to proofe we were in love.

To the OP.. THe internet (VJ Included) is the worst place in the world for Relationship advice.. Please, go and talk to a counselor, a pastor, or family, or a friend you trust.. Most internet sites are full of people thriving on this Drama and have nothing helpful to offer.. The relationship advise you get here or other internet Forums, is simply dangerous. Especially if you put any credibility in it,
