No-Where-Man got a reaction from Cal & Chat in I130 May 2017 filers
Nothing yet on my side. Seen cases in May getting approved here and on other websites. So I hope Nov will be our month. Also, I have known many users here who get approved, by them stating so in other topics but they never update their timeline. I hope Visajourney would put reminders for users to do so to improve the timeline accuracy. Fingers crossed.

Well, since you are past the 6 months processing time for USCIS, Did you put a service request online? I would start with that and see what will be their reply. Also, you can get your congressman's office involved so they can find why it is not adjudicated until now and push it. Hope that helps.

Please fill in your timeline so it helps the website to predict more accurately adjuration time. Thanks

Indeed that is very frustrating. But keep your hopes high, we should hear very soon. Between, where did you hear about them transferring cases to Vermont?
Be also aware, that many users here don't even bother filling in their timeline. As a matter of fact, some even start it and once they got approved they dont bother completing it. So there is a high possibility that some May filers got their NOA2 but we are not aware of it. In my opinion, there is no reason whatsoever for a service center to abruptly just stop processing a specific application unless the USCIS announced so. Also, Other service centers that processes I-130 are not effected by the new form, so why Potomac will?
Of course I am not sure, you might be totally right but I believe that we are very stresses and obnoxious about the whole process that we our minds overthink things. I usually try to work OT and do stuff so days go by.
One more thing :), you may noticed from those members who filled their timeline, that some of them did not have an online update and got the NOA2 in mail almost 10 days after the actual approval date. So there is a very good possibility that we can hear about punches of May approval these days...
Keep you hopes high

No-Where-Man got a reaction from Ghanaishere in Administrative Processing
Ah, I also wanted to add that getting married will not resolve the AP. Living abroad can help lessening the stress of being a part for sure, but then you will go through the process of submitting i-130 and all that fun stuff which takes currently around 9-12 months processing and still, he could be placed on AP. I am from Egypt and has my handful experience with the embassy there.
Will keep you in my prayers.

If it states issued , so it is issued. the administrative processing is basically saying that the process if being finalized. If in AP, it wont confirm the issuance, it just say AP. Congratulations.

No-Where-Man got a reaction from bokins in Information on how to inquire if FBI responded to USCIS
Hello everyone,
I was online at another immigration website and I found out that there is a phone number where you can call the FBI and know when your finger prints were received and when they were sent back, I tried it and it works.
The phone number is : 3046255590 , Once you call you press 2 then 9 which will take you to a customer service rep.
Tell them you want to know if FIB responded back to USCIS about your finger prints.
You will be asked for your A#, and to give your name and DOB for them to identify you.
You will be told when it was received, when it was sent back.

No-Where-Man got a reaction from JeanneVictoria in Lost Perm Res Card, want to just apply for N-400
You can get a stamp for the purpose of travelling and if you are worried But, N-400 requires you to carry a valid GC, if the card is lost before applying, you need to apply for GC first, and when you are eligible for the N-400 you can apply and submit the receipt from USCIS that they received your application for another GC.
That sucks but you need to pay

No-Where-Man got a reaction from NY_BX in Visa Denial
I will add to the above post, that there are some other ways beside just photos and pictures to prove bonafide of marriage, this include adding her to your taxes (yes you can even if she is not living with you, my wife did that while I was in Egypt still, and got extra money back for claiming me), also you can add her to your bank accounts as a joint (some will do it, some wont, Chase and US bank did it without any problems)
If there were letters from you/her stamped and dated (the envlopes or post cards) also are good proves.
As far as Fedex, you will need to contact them and find out

No-Where-Man got a reaction from Tahlisha in Cheapest airline tickets????
Hello,
Glad to hear your news, and GOD willing he be with you so soon.
Your question is hard to answer since what was cheap yesterday might be expensive today. Luckily there are some websites that can compare airline tickets for an anticipated departure/arrival dae.
Personally, I use kayak (www.kayak.com)
Also, it might be helpful to know that the cheapest tickets are the ones that the departure/arrival is in the middle of the week.
So, in short, use the website above, and play a little bit in dates(move it up a day or two or down the same till you get the best and cheapest available)
Its a time consuming but you will be happy to save some money (up to $400 seriously).
Hope that help
Good luck in the interview.

No-Where-Man got a reaction from Krikit in Divorcing my wife
I will give you more details here,
as far as I-864 (supporting her), you are required to support her finanically in case she became a public charge. This commitment will be cancelled only if she became US or worked for sometimes (almost 10 years )
Most likely she has a green card for two years if you divorced her, she can stay as long as the green card is valid, then she will need to remove conditions to get the 10 years green card, and YES she can do that on her own as long as she can prove she did not marry you for just immigration.
In my opinion, 3 months is not enough time to search for a job in this bad economy, it took me 4 months, and knew some that took them from 6 months to a year, you can not punish her for that.
As far as your marriege, try to work things out if you can unless you are pretty sure it wont work.

No-Where-Man got a reaction from NY_BX in Anyone have luck evaluating credits?
Sorry for your frustration.
As far as evaluating, the only way to get credit recognized by most schools in the US is to evaluate it using the World Educational Service.
Their website is www.wes.org Once there, create an account and start filling details as required, you will be shown a big huge list of schools they recognize and evaluate, if your is not there that means almost no way to transfer the credit, but GOD willing you will find his schools over there.
Once you are done with that step, you will pick your package (most schools need course by course evaluation ), pay and send them the required documents.
Be aware that most schools wont transfer credits that are older than 7 years, and in some cases 5 years------------so be sure to inquire from the school he will attend.
Good luck

No-Where-Man got a reaction from beejay in Naturalization Question
Hello,
As I understand that you filed for I-751 back in Janurary, did not hear back yet, and also I understand you are eligible for citizenship in August.
You are allowed to file for citizenship even if you did not receive your 10 years GC.
Seen many cases here done that and even gone to their citizenship interview while not receiving their card yet.
Fair to mention, that almost all of them, their citizenships was put on hold after the interview till the issuance of the GC because you have to give it up at the oath cermony.
So if you feel you want to apply by August, go a head. you will be fine.
Good luck

No-Where-Man got a reaction from R and F in Long time duration for USA immigration??
1: Numbers of ppl who want to immigrate to the U.S is far more than any other country
2: Due to the massive illegal immigrants and fraud cases, it takes long time (trying)to detect such cases if possible (I do not think it work though)
3: the U.S is the most targeted country in the world when it come to terrorism, so the security procedures are extensise compared to other countries like Canada or UK for example.
4: Generally, every immigration case is different and involves alot of factors such like country of the immigrant, if the petitioner is a US citizen or not, military or not, even your name can play a rule in triggering AP or extensive background check that delays cases sometime to more than a year.
Yes the system is broken, for many reasons, some of them we know, and some we can not even understand.
Hopefully it become more felixible, fast and on the same time acquiring more ways to capture possible fraud cases.
