Why it takes long time or why we have to wait so long for us immigration if our relatives are not USC? Every where, ever country has short time duration for immigration whether your relatives are citizen or not. About london i know it takes maximum 6 months and for canada it take maximum 1 years...

But why this american immigration suks alot?????

BECAUSE more people wish to migrate to America than to London. I hear anada is nice do you have relatives in Canada maybe they could sponsor you there, since it only takes 5 months. You should be there for the cold weather holidays.

We have to let some people leave so we can free up space for the masses of people who wants to come to America.

Beause it is our law, just because.

Other countries immigration laws sucks too.

1: Numbers of ppl who want to immigrate to the U.S is far more than any other country

2: Due to the massive illegal immigrants and fraud cases, it takes long time (trying)to detect such cases if possible (I do not think it work though)

3: the U.S is the most targeted country in the world when it come to terrorism, so the security procedures are extensise compared to other countries like Canada or UK for example.

4: Generally, every immigration case is different and involves alot of factors such like country of the immigrant, if the petitioner is a US citizen or not, military or not, even your name can play a rule in triggering AP or extensive background check that delays cases sometime to more than a year.

Yes the system is broken, for many reasons, some of them we know, and some we can not even understand.

Hopefully it become more felixible, fast and on the same time acquiring more ways to capture possible fraud cases.

IF IMMIGRATION WAS AS EASY AS YOU ARE TRYING TO STATE IT IS, THEN WHY do we have some many fraud cases? Can you answer this one? It is always easy to allow someone to enter, the hard part is removing them when they prove to be false.

This is just a general question, why the US why not put your skills and intellectual to deveoping your home county to the 21st century. All of the reasons that you will give as to why, are all of the reasons that the US has to guard against.

Please note, I am not stating this individual is not welcome into the US, I am asking him to look at his questions thatt are being asked based on his own decesions why he wish to migrate to the US. He maybe a true individual, but life has proven to the US there are many false indiviuals who uses this system for reasons to do harm to the US and its citizens.

My comments are only dialogue, there is no judgemental being directed to any individual.

after my first time around experience with the BROKEN system i feel the complete system needs to be wiped clean and started fresh i do not believe that there is anyway to fix anything in the current process........

1. there does not seem to be anyone that can correct anything in any part of the process that is wrong because from service centers to the embassy they are only accountable to people with in their own department.........(no outside accountability from any source)

2. there needs to be something in place that can monitor and correct each step of the process that is not attached to that particular department

just my opinion

The US is the number one favored destination in the world for nearly all types of immigrants, be they employment-based, family-based, you name it.

This means literally millions of various applications and petitions are filed each year. The US isn't able to absorb all of these potential immigrants at once, nor are the USCIS and DOS able to process all these applications in a timely fashion and need to set priorities to the various applications.

Most immigrant visas have annual caps on them, only certain ones cannot be capped, for example fiances/spouses/parents/minor children of US citizens. Even these high priority family categories run in the hundreds of thousands annually.

US citizens are then placed in priority over permanent residents. This is because the US government is obligated and responsible for services to US citizens only. Permanent residents are not Americans by law, but rather foreigners given the privilege to live in the US permanently, and thus have lower priority than USCs in terms of immigration benefits and certain other services.

Btw, I understand that the wait is excruciating.

There is a strong case for focussing more on work visa's than remote family connections.

Most other countries do not allow the wide rang of applications for family visa's the US does.

Our Congress mandated certain limits for visas for those who are not relatives of USCs....and that's the way it is, whether you like it or not. Is your native country in the 21st century? Is paperwork processed at a 'blistering pace' there? I sincerely doubt it. But if you are so unhappy, to the point of saying 'America sucks', I suggest you pack your bags and return to wherever it is you came from, because those of us who are American citizens do not appreciate attitudes such as yours.

and this might work....if the application fee was raised to about $5000. All those things you want cost time and money.

Look up the word ' limited ' in the dictionary.

The other issue is that the USCIS is gov't funded, thereby taxpayer funded. The majority of American taxpayers will never have to deal with the USCIS so it would be unfair to a majority of American taxpayers to pump in tons more money into getting petitions approved faster.

I do think there should be a way to get faster processing through paying a bunch in extra fees though. I'd take $4,000 any day for less wait.
