    I managed to double post! B2's are usually issued for 10 year Multiple Visits. Is this somebody you have met?

    I have never seen anybody who has been waiting get such a specific answer, well any answer. I am not sure I would trust anything they said anyway. The free option is to call them, call your Senator make a fuss, will it produce a response, probably not. Or wait Or as has been mentioned sue.

    My first question would be why you have not seen each other. You need to be aware that whatever you think of the questions here is nothing compared to the Consulate.

    You are the first Nairobi DCF I have seen, not sure other Consulate's procedures would help. My guess is you are just waiting, you are on a high speed track but that does not mean immediate response.

    I would jump all over this L1 is the normal for an internal move, they pay everything and then you can adjust once you are in the US at your leisure.

    There is a specific variant of the B2 for Medical purpose. As for all Visitor Visa's they apply and find out, take it from there. From prior posts the best I can advise you is to stay out of it, nothing you can do and there is only downside.

    If the children are going to be 70 then the parents will be in the ir 90's maybe, makes you wonder how old the OP will be.

    You are probably looking at how long it could take to get the I 130 approved, not the Visa. They will be middle aged, and unlikely but not impossible CSPA would save them, assuming of course they have not married, have children, maybe even grandchildren of their own.
