  1. I think I may have been optimistic thinking it would be a year.
  2. Not an immigration issue, he has a 10 year GC. You need a divorce lawyer.
  3. Why did you not petition him? The PD is not current yet, a year?
  4. Horrible interviewer but that sort of demonstrates the issue. Petraeus made excellent replies.
  5. A little bit before my time, but I think it was up to 10 years, the embellishments came later.
  6. A few days ago a BBC reporter who had been in Gaza and some of the tunnels mentioned a command post under the main Hospital. I can not imagine he was told that unless they wanted it out there. He also mentioned the tunnels into Egypt, described one as big enough to drive a Mercedes through. These do not operate without Egypt looking the other way. Bin Laden was hiding in a house in Pakistan, somewhat different. And my favourite Guardian columnist has of course up with the obvious. Hamas are just enforcing British Mandate Law.
  7. And here is another one: ‘Stunned and sickened.’ Wexner Foundation cuts ties with Harvard over ‘tiptoeing’ on Hamas https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/16/business/wexner-harvard-hamas-israel-antisemitism/index.html Dems may be seeing the same thing with the recent pronouncements of the Squad.
  8. Blanket is a lot quicker. Who at your Employer will be filing the petition if not a Lawyer? Usually beyond HR.
  9. I know some of the larger multinational companies will have in house capability otherwise they would use a Lawyer. Is this L1A or L1B Does the Company have blanket approval.
  10. https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/16/business/upenn-antisemitism-israel-huntsman/index.html UPenn in crisis over antisemitism allegations: Jon Huntsman is the latest donor to stop giving, and a board member resigns There are quite a few other stories of a similar nature, now of course the usual shaming tactics do not really work in this sort of situation, how do you call someone a NAZI etc when you are the one supporting such beliefs, and there is one thing above all others that they desire, money.
  11. Actually your problem is that your Employer does not have an Immigration Lawyer, or do you mean they do not have one yet and are going to appoint one. L1 is dual intent so does not itself conflict with a CR1 and you could switch to adjusting status.
  12. Adjustment is something you can do if you are in the US in lawful status and your Priority date is current.
  13. Most F4 cases are approved, with the I 130 you are just substantiating the relationship. Proving that your Aunt and Mother are Sisters. That your Aunt is a USC. Usually they do not rush to approve the I 130s due to the decades long wait. CSPA does not freeze your age, when the PD is current you can deduct the time it took to approve the I 130 from your then age but being over 21 now means you have no chance. Hope that helps.
  14. I am sure if it was known where they are there would be a 2,000lb bomb heading their way. My experience suggests that the martyrs tend to be the low levels of the organisation and that few of the upper echelons tend to be of that persuasion. Obviously Iran is heavily involved and they are providing a lot of the logistics and support. They are effectively immune too far away, too big. Reminds me of the Yom Kippur war when the IDF was 100km from Cairo, lets say they took it, then what? The only logical option I can think of is to clear Gaza, bulldoze everything, but I cannot see that happening.
  15. A long shot but only one way of knowing.
  16. I have a reasonable knowledge of the wars since 1948 I have a better understanding of WW2 and recent events in Ukraine. The Russians took major losses fighting in BUA's even with massive artillery preparation, and I do not think that level is politically possible. And that is nothing of course comparable to the events of WW2. Egypt's involvement is interesting, on one hand Hamas is an off shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood so I am sure they are rooting for Israel in that respect. On the other they have to show support to fellow Muslims from a regional perspective whilst at the same time minimising any direct involvement including allowing too many to pass over their border. Destroying Hamas well there are apparently 25,000 active, they may have lost say 2,000 so far. But as has been repeatedly mentioned half the population is under 18 so even if they lost all of that force it would not take too long to rebuild. From a Hamas perspective the more casualties the better and they are well dug in. Senior leadership is not there, I think the head honcho is based in Qatar.
  17. I am not sure if this got any coverage in the US. A 2014 L494 Range Rover Sport TDV6 it seems went up in smoke in a car park, now even though it is a diesel there have been prior issues with fires. I would have thought the loss is well north of US$50m, my experience with Airport car parks is most cars are not old bangers, the fire was hot enough to destroy the structure and it will take a long time to rebuild. I am pretty sure diesel by itself will not burn hot enough to do this sort of damage. It will be interesting to see the conclusion You see pile ups but I have never heard of 1500 cars in one go before.
  18. https://cu.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/diversity-visa/ Should also enter the DV
  19. I am not denying the aims I just do see how that is possible, like playing wack a mole. How do demilitarise Gaza, well without moving the population out which seems Politically impossible.
