  1. As far as I know it has nothing to do with US
  2. Fairly common
  3. Indian law issue.
  4. I am pretty sure Pakistan is different to India and that it does not require you to do so. I know places like Iran it is simply not possible. So the question would be why? I assume if it is possible it wi be a hassle.
  5. Family account
  6. Fill in the Form, go to the interview, they tend to be just a few questions and for most people it is over before they realise.
  7. You can not be denied entry. They could refer you to a Judge, not possible but very rare. What you say obviously depends on what your plan is
  8. That would be down to an IJ not someone at the Airport. The Courts are a bit busy. So it hardly every happens.
  9. The two issues are not connected.
  10. That would be OK, you could forward the GC.
  11. Maybe I did not get my point across, I mentioned a game I used to play, Nuclear War, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_War_(card_game), still got a copy somewhere. But I have also played many games where the victory conditions are different for each side, and this situation is a classic example of that. For Hamas they are not looking to win militarily, they are not trying to conquer territory or even hold their own. Think of it is a campaign, this is just a small part. Their Victory Points include how many civilians they can kill and capture, bonus for brutality, how many of their own civilian population are killed and injured, bonus points for every mosque and hospital destroyed. Might give some minor points for the number displaced. How many Hamas terrorists they lose is irrelevant, not as if there is a shortage of replacements, as is repeatedly mentioned half the population is under 18. One of the things that amused me is running out of fuel after 3 days allegedly for electricity, Israel cutting off water?, the majority of the water in the area is pumped from aquifers. Food crisis after a few days etc etc. If you are going to start a war normally you would be looking to make sure you had plenty of supplies but that would be contrary to their war aims. Fighting through Built Up Areas is hard going, ask the Russians, but plenty of other examples, Stalingrad is probably the most generally known example, even the last few days of the Reich in Berlin were extremely costly. I could go on listing examples and the IDF is not really designed to do that. Hamas have had years to fortify Gaza, how do you possibly take out Hamas?, the leadership is not there, you might get some of their lower levels but then again there is no shortage of replacements. Quite easy for me to come up with Hamas Victory Points, I am struggling with Israel. None of this is not very obvious and I would expect widely understood by those involved. For some countries ike say Egypt this is a win win, Israel gets embarrassed, they can keep out of it, it is complicated but Hamas are inked to terrorist organisations they have to deal with so any losses they suffer is good and for weird political reasons there is very little pressure on them to intervene, provide supplies, open their Border etc. At some point this will end and the EU, US Gulf states will send Gaza (Hamas) lots of money to 'rebuild' so what is not to like?
  12. I would not call it a trap in that it was obvious from last Saturday what the plan was, and nothing I have seen has changed that. I can not imagine both sides are not fully aware. I am sure this has been wargamed many times.
  13. I just noticed and I have to work! Just wondered what other people indigenous persons are doing to celebrate.
  14. I thought this was interesting, the EU has many issues of course and this is not the one thing I thought would bring it down. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/sep/22/migration-eu-diplomat-josep-borrell-ukraine-china Migration could be “a dissolving force for the European Union” due to deep cultural differences between European countries and their long-term inability to reach a common policy, the EU’s most senior diplomat has said. Although Russia will try to fan the flames on migration inside Europe, Josep Borrell denied that the conflict in Ukraine was contributing to the crisis, which he described as a decades-old problem fuelled by wars and poverty in departure countries. This I certainly will agree with: In a wide-ranging interview with the Guardian reflecting on how the EU had been changed by the war and where the bloc fits in this new world order, he said European countries had been forced to wake from a siesta on defence spending, in which they had lived under the American nuclear umbrella. And this: At a subsequent lecture at the New York University Law School, he said the UN security council had been proved “completely useless in recent years due to its divisions” and called for an overhaul of political and financial institutions to revive a multilateralism that “is outdated and running out of steam”.
  15. https://www.cnn.com/2023/09/12/politics/susanna-gibson-virginia-sex-acts/index.html I really do not care about her side gig. But you livestream on the Internet, and then claim invasion of privacy. How does that make any sense?
  16. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12311475/Harry-Meghan-asked-fly-Air-Force-One-Biden-Queens-funeral-denied-Jill-didnt-attend-Invictus-Games-avoid-upsetting-Royals-Sussexes-attempts-political-players-America-faltering.html
  17. https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/10/sport/brittney-griner-dallas-airport-harassment/index.html Brittney Griner, the WNBA star who was freed from Russia late last year after being wrongfully detained, was harassed Saturday by a man described as a social media “provocateur” at a Dallas airport. A source familiar with the incident told CNN that around 9:30 am CT, Griner was at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport traveling with Phoenix Mercury teammates on their way to a game. Griner was confronted by the man who was yelling at her about “the Merchant of Death.” The confrontation got so heated that the man was tackled, and law enforcement was involved, according to the source. CNN has reached out to local law enforcement and the DFW airport about the incident. “The health and well-being of our players and staff are our top priority and we will always take every step within our power to protect player safety,” the statement said. “No one, regardless of identity, should ever fear for their safety. We will be coordinating with the WNBA on next steps,” it continued. Griner’s teammate, Brianna Turner, posted to Twitter on Saturday, saying, “Player safety while traveling should be at the forefront. People following with cameras saying wild remarks is never acceptable. Excessive harassment. Our team nervously huddled in a corner unsure how to move about. We demand better.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think I would recognise Bob, but any other member of the WNBA? I thought they would be delighted somebody recognised them.
  18. I had not really thought about this other than being told when checking out at a Supermarket now is the time to enter your Coupons, what Coupons? I would assume they were overcharging up front to pay for the rebate so look for something else.
  19. https://www.givesendgo.com/daniel_penny $315k as posting, it went up $30k in 10 minutes?
  20. WashingtonCNN — Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was attacked at the couple’s home in San Francisco early Friday morning, the Democratic speaker’s office said in a statement. He is expected to make a full recovery. Drew Hammill, a spokesman for Nancy Pelosi, said the assailant is in custody and a motive is being investigated. The speaker was in Washington at the time of the attack, a spokesperson said. This story is breaking and will be updated. https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/28/politics/paul-pelosi-attack/index.html Not sure it is supposed to work like this.
