  1. Wait Time for Interview Waiver Wait times for applicants eligible for Interview Waiver are applicable only for locations where applicants schedule appointments to submit their passport and any required documents to a U.S. embassy or consulate. The wait time estimate does not account for the time required for a consular officer to adjudicate the application nor mailing time of passports or other documents. Refer to the website of the Embassy or Consulate Visa Section where you will apply to determine your eligibility for Interview Waiver and for instructions for submitting a nonimmigrant visa application. Note that applicants must be a national or resident of the country where they are applying to be eligible to apply via Interview Waiver.
  2. The information they require in the vast majority of cases is on the application form. No harm taking anything else but very unlikely to be asked for. I do remember the NHS had a list of recommended vaccinations depending where you were going, however I do not think there were any for the US.
  3. I agree there is no harm trying.
  4. Chevron’s exit to Texas: The end of an era for a California powerhouse Chevron and other oil firms have been sued by California, which alleges that their production and refining operations have caused billions in damage. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/08/02/business/energy-environment/chevron-headquarters-houston.html
  5. I do not remember it being an automatic thing, you certainly do not need a SSN. Otherwise it is 5 years GMK. Unless you can argue your way past it.
  6. You can petition her as a step parent so adoption gives you no benefit.
  7. Well at least you know what the deal is.
  8. Sponsoring someone to immigrate is not cheap, I am very surprised they have take things so lackadaisically.
  9. I tend to favour DIY options for Immigration cases, I DIYd my own case and feel comfortable say filing a I 601 waiver, have helped froinds etc. I might even have a go at Mandamus. AWA no, someone else may remember but I do not recollect someone succeeding with a Lawyer. I do remember people spending a lot of money and failing. You make it sound like you are in the US, what is your status? Perhaps there are better alternative routes? The one you are going down is very complicated, something I would avoid if possible.
  10. What was the job? What is you area of expertise?
  11. AWA is not common, we maybe see one a year? All the ones I have come across have been fairly clear cut and I have not seen any cases successfully appealed. I do know that every State has different laws, regulations etc so even if I was up to speed on Colorado law it does not follow that it would be applicable in your case. There do seem to be a few Immigration Lawyers who are recognised as AWA experts, do you have a Lawyer?
  12. This makes very little sense, if your Employer has no job opening how is your Employer your Employer. Their Lawyer should have ensured you have all the documentation needed.
  13. UK tuition is based on residency
