  1. Do you live in a city with good public transit? Can she UBER while you are at work? Otherwise, it is true that it is really restrictive to have to stay home unless you drive her - that certainly does not help.
  2. That one depends on the neighbourhood, but always a good idea to write your name on the mailbox. Some mailpersons won't deliver official mail (eg. LPR card, USCIS notices), unless the name appears on the mailbox.
  3. @andrecfa I do not want to pile on you and repeat the possible fraud implications of your plan - I think others made that clear. I would just like to encourage you to seek therapy (not only as a couple, but for yourself). Thirty-year old usually have matured and have more than "a plan with a cutie who might have a crush on them". To get married (idealistically, a lifelong commitment) without figuring out how it would be feasible to live with Wife #1... Have you thought about other solutions to stay with her? Separate living arrangements/bedrooms/in-law suite? There is something off about thinking her friend is the solution, without seeing the deeper realities of marriage, and immigration. Wishing you the best.
  4. The whole "send her back" really underestimates her will to stay, and her possible means. Maybe I missed it, but nothing stated made me believe she isn't working/having some savings. Realistically OP, consult a lawyer, divorce, move on. Tell her that she doesn't have to make up any story to stay, divorce waiver is usually easy enough when removing conditions.
  5. You might not be allowed to enter Canada... https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility.html
  6. Please come back when your spouse as his visa in hand, I'm very curious to see how it will go.
  7. Easiest would be to delay the interview, and issuance of the visa.
  8. Non commercial carriers have different requirements. Rent a jet, rent a boat.
  9. I've seen it work, but I wouldn't count on it. In her situation, her passport isn't lost, or misplaced. Possible alternatives: - ask the consulate to return the passport after the interview because of imminent need. Ship it back later. - get a second Canadian passport. You'll have to demonstrate your need to travel to Passport Canada while the passport is held at the consulate. This one is far-fetched, since they prefer to only do it when it's a continuous/ongoing problem. They can, but they probably won't see your situation as problematic enough.
  10. I can see vaccines becoming a requirement for commercial carriers for the foreseeable future.
  11. "Why would I keep up with processing times?" Uh... Maybe because you care about your partner more than you care about yourself and your assets. I rarely do that, but hopefully the process gets so long that you give up, better for your hypothetical partner.
