  1. Thank you for your insightful response. I will take a look into this. For now I think we might just wait out my husbands green card paperwork and then continue with the over seas job.
  2. Hi Apologies if this was already answered. Does anyone have any knowledge or insight in regards to a scenario like below: US petitioner working and living in third country with their spouse. The job is for a U.S company contracted with the US govt. Spouse hasn’t done the interview yet but believe it will be close. If the interview comes up and he gets his visa but we decide to still remain in that third country due to work, will it be an issue? Still keeping the US bank accounts, using mothers residence for mail, keeping life insurance policy, US company health insurance, paying taxes, keeping storage unit of the previous US apartment furniture. Visiting every 6 months-9 months. Saving up for a house to purchase in the US.
  3. They do. I had my fiancé at the time his interview was in Islamabad. If your case is already there and all you’re waiting for is the interview I was able to pay the visa fee at the bank they provided and after that i wanted 24-48 hours and I was able to add the receipt number into the system and schedule the appointment myself.
  4. Do you know if they provide visa’s to get to these countries for their interview since the embassy’s are closed in their country?
  5. Thank you so much. Just sent that over to them now. I wish the nvc would’ve read my note when I uploaded my document I let them know we couldn’t get it but now with this proof on their own site I can sleep well tonight. Thank you 🙏🏼
  6. My husband and I did our Nikah in Pakistan and we got our Urdu and English translated one but now NVC is asking for the 3rd marriage document which is the NADRA marriage certificate but I was told this is only available if either spouse or both are Pakistani Nationals. We had everything stamped by Afghan Embassy in Pakistan and also Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan. Did anyone else have this issue or know if there is a way I can register my marriage in Pakistan and get a NADRA marriage certificate?
  7. Hi, My husband is still in Afghanistan and we keep trying to get a visa for him to go to Doha so he can do his interview but we have no luck with how to get one. I tried online but too many options so I’m not sure which one is legitimate and when he goes to a visa place in Kabul they just show for Islamabad or Brazil. I know on deptartment of state site it says they may provide departure assistance for family reunification for US citizen family members (parents, spouse). I guess my questions are: 1. has anyone received departure assistance to a third country due to the embassy in their country being closed? 2. What does that departure assistance include? visa to third country? Flight to a third country? 3. If they do provide assistance can you choose what third country it is or do they choose for you? any insight would be much appreciated and apologies in advance as I was unsure what to list the topic under.
