Hi friends, I am new on here and I hope that this question is posted in the correct place. Like many of you, my fiance and I are awaiting the approval for our marriage visa. I am from the US, and he is from The Netherlands. After seeing the US government's declaration (see bottom of post) we felt this was finally our chance we've been waiting for for months. I have been trying for days to get a hold of somebody at the consulate in Amsterdam. Does anybody know if this post will be one of the posts who will now process K visas? I cannot find any information as of yet. Thank you all. It is nice to finally find a place where other people are following similar journeys as we are. "Effective August 28, as it becomes safe to resume more consular operations at each U.S. mission, posts are authorized to give K visa cases high priority. Applicants should check the website of their nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate for updates on what services that post is currently able to offer. The I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) is typically valid for four months; however, consular officers may revalidate the I-129F petition in four month increments. For most cases impacted by the suspension of routine visa services or COVID-19 travel restrictions it will not be necessary to file a new I-129F petition."

Hi there, we are new to Visa Journey. My spouse is scheduled to be interviewed for the IR1 immigration visa at the US Embassy in Tokyo in 2 weeks. We are now preparing the documents and questions to be asked. Wonder if any fellow VisaJourney-ers could provide some points on: 1) What documents are required to bring to the embassy? We were told to follow the instructions on State Department embassy website regarding documents to bring to interview. Will there be other additional info to bring? 2) DS-5540 - the “Public Charge” form - it seems the embassy has stopped issuing immigration visa following the ruling on July 29th in SDNY which enjoined the implementation of the “Public Charge” policy. Yet, State Department still has not provided guidance on how to follow the ruling though USCIS did already. 3) What questions would the CO being asking my spouse? Like to hear some real case questions being asked at your interview. 4) Any other tips or pointers would be helpful? Best, TK

Hi guys, I completed my interview and my passport pick up date was in March (I got a yellow slip) . However, the day before my pick up- the embassy announced that they are closing for COVID. The country has opened officially from last week but the US embassy remains closed. I have emailed them regarding this and they reply with an automated email. Any idea how i could reach them? and when the embassy might open? My husband and I miss each other so much and it has been so long I wish i could see him soon.

Hi, hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. I am a freaking out with this overwhelming stress. I checked the nvc timeframe they are still reviewing documents that were submitted on feb 13th . I re submitted one document on march 11th . But I see a lot of people aroud the world getting their nvc/review/DQ that were submit after me or end of feb . I don't understand now should I not follow the the nvc timeframe that were posted on their website . They told me they review the document every date wise. Now , I am guessing that's not the case . Is there anyone facing the same issue with the nvc ?

hi, i was an Aupair for almost two years in the states and just read through the nvc page, category: required civil documents. i might need a police clearance letter from the states but where do i get one of these? Maybe there is someone from Germany here which had gone through the same and could help me out or knows about this ? i was texting the consulate but they literally just sent me a document with the exact same answer as on the nvc page. Please ask for any further information, of which state etc. i dont know if that is needed! also i am about to send a form which is called J Visa Advisory Opinion Application to see if i am eligible for the 212(e) - Subject to the two year residence requirement. Anyone experience with it?

Hello everyone I have a question So my IR-1/CR-1 case status have been in A.P for a year+. this week three case updates happened. 2 of them only a regurarl update but still under A.P the third which happened yesterday on Nov 18th 2019 was: Expiring soon. All documents requested have been submitted directly after my interview ( a year ago) my-self- the lawyer and the congress person have been contacting the Us embassy in Lebanon regarding this matter. and always same reply :" Case is under A.P please wait..." so we have been contacting the embassy regurally atleast once a month. but now I am kind of lost on what does this mean? and yes I have contacted my lawyer already but its 3 Am their time so I am hoping to hear news or what is going from you guys here while I'am waiting for my lawyer reply. Thank you in Advance !
