My husband and I did our Nikah in Pakistan and we got our Urdu and English translated one but now NVC is asking for the 3rd marriage document which is the NADRA marriage certificate but I was told this is only available if either spouse or both are Pakistani Nationals.

We had everything stamped by Afghan Embassy in Pakistan and also Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan. Did anyone else have this issue or know if there is a way I can register my marriage in Pakistan and get a NADRA marriage certificate?

Reply with this page printed, hightlighting this part, and the fact that your spouse is not Pakistani:

"Citizens of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Afghans living in Pakistan must also only present a marriage certificate issued by religious authorities, as Union Councils do not issue NADRA certificates to these groups."

Thank you so much. Just sent that over to them now. I wish the nvc would’ve read my note when I uploaded my document I let them know we couldn’t get it but now with this proof on their own site I can sleep well tonight. Thank you 🙏🏼
