  1. Hey there! I just wanted to clarify for you quickly, the NVC takes 2 weeks on average to approve documents once everything has been submitted. Do you have documents ready to submit? As this can add time to that (tax information, police checks). The timeframe for interview then is dependent country to country. You can search "immigration timelines" and specify the country you want to view to compare average wait times I hope this helps!
  2. Mine was sent off on the 28th of April, I received it on the 26th of May. I was told over the phone to expect 15 working days, so three weeks. I think the bank holidays probably affected the time mine took. Hopefully yours is quicker!
  3. As others have said, the adjustment of status won't be necessary as you are filing from outside the US. This link shows the next steps for you and your partner once the I-130 is approved: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html Once this is complete, you DO then have to remove the conditions of the greencard for CR1, but I believe your wife will have 2 years in the US before she needs to do this.
  4. They got back to me and basically ignored my question.. I just got a generic response back saying that I haven't uploaded all of the documents and "Once you have submitted all of the applicable items above, we will review them and let you know if anything is missing, or if any other action is required." I can't tell if they have completely ignored my query or they're suggesting it will change automatically once they review the information?
  5. Yeah that is exactly correct. Thank you for confirming this, really appreciate it!
  6. Thanks for responding! I moved into my family home after my trip to the US, and it was also the same address I lived at before I moved abroad. I maintained UK bank accounts in that I had them open, but I didn't use them. I have already mentioned various times in the I130 application living abroad, as I was out there for 3 years and I met my partner out there, so I intend to include this information in the DS260. Though, you are confirming my thought process that my family home in the UK could still be considered my home base in this situation. It would probably be less confusing for someone reviewing the case.
  7. Hey all, I have a gap of 3 months on my address history where I was in the US with my partner. We had a base address but did a lot of travelling whilst we were there taking road trips etc. I was moving from abroad back to the UK, and took this trip between places. I had no permanent address at this time. I would imagine it would be concerning (for NVC) to put a US address, as I was travelling on an ESTA and wasn't actually a resident at the time. Would this be a correct assumption? Would it make more sense for me to put down my family/home address where I have been residing since? Thanks in advance! I feel like I have a million questions at the moment!
  8. Yes! Must have gone through yesterday. Took a couple of days to process, though.
  9. Thanks for the info! I know I have just heard horror stories of people being assigned the wrong visa class on their green card, and then waiting longer to get it fixed. I have actually sent NVC a public enquiry regarding this so hopefully it'll be easy to fix at this stage!
  10. Thanks for clarifying that it's definitely a mistake! No we got married last year so we're definitely not close to IR1. Hopefully this can be fixed quickly!
  11. Is this normal (ie and they condense both CR1/IR1 class into just 'IR1' for simplicity) or have they mixed this up? I should be CR1, as we have been married less than 2 years. If this is an error, how do I fix this? Just call them up?
  12. Hey! Yes, both petitioner and beneficiary received the email. Our case updated to that the same day we received the email. I think sometimes it can take a little while to go through - I had been looking at the timelines on here and assumed it might take a week or two, if I remember correctly.
  13. I would email the same email you applied to but CC the customer service email in too. Make it clear that they're additional documents for a previous submission in the title! Did you receive an acknowledgment email? I got an email back from them with the document to fill out, which I replied to with the filled out form. Haven't received anything else since.
  14. I was approved on the Thurs and I checked on Saturday, so it was a few days before I realised. I did, I got an email 4 days after the approval notice (Monday), I was surprised at how fast the turn around was what with it being a weekend. I also hadn't sent off for the police check until the end of last week! I couldn't find the forms for a while and I emailed the wrong address (I emailed the one I was directed to contact if it was the first time you reached out) and I am kicking myself for it! When did you send off for the police check? We're head to head haha!
  15. I was similar. We didn't get any emails/texts and lawfully didn't even notify me! It was lucky that I checked online 'just in case'.
  16. Hey, I just sent mine off. It has payment details at the bottom, and also a page where you can tally up the total payment towards the end too.
  17. Thanks for confirming this! Unfortunately I'm waiting on the police check - but everything else is ready to go! Expecting it to be a couple weeks before I send it off.
  18. Hey all, I was just scouring this thread and was wondering if anyone can help confirm general timelines for me. I am looking into visiting my partner in the US this summer as it's his birthday at the start of July, but I am just double checking there won't be overlaps with the interview timeline. I am hoping to be DQ'ed by the end of May/start of June. Am I right in thinking I should be expecting to get an interview at the end of July/start of August? It seems that ILs are released at the end of the month and it is organised on a 'first come first serve basis' (in terms of when people are DQed). I appreciate any help! 144 pages are overwhelming to look through haha 😅
  19. Fair enough, thanks for letting me know! It'll probably be the same for me. A couple of weeks in the grand scheme of things isn't a huge deal. It just feels so close but yet so far! haha Ah gotcha! They didn't have that available when I called, or I would have paid for it
  20. Thank you! I had just managed to call someone and send it off. I assume you have yet to receive anything back? I was told 10-15 days but I know appleblossom said theirs's only took 4 days. I'm hoping it's not the full 15 days!
  21. Great, thanks for adding this! I have just found a number to call them so I am going to try follow up today. If I can't get in touch I will send over my email for those docs, thank you!
  22. Thank you so much for confirming this!
  23. Hey all, I'm hoping someone here has experience with ACRO and can help me. My case just arrived in NVC and I am trying to organise an ACRO police certificate. It's turning out to be quite the process, as due to a cyber security incident their website is down and everything is being processed manually. This means I can't access their FAQ/information on the process! Does anyone have a copy of the list of documents needed to send off to them? I have already emailed them to request this and to ask how to proceed, but it seems they may take a while to get back to me and I'd really like to be able to send off for this as soon as possible. I am currently just checking I have all the necessary documents ready. I have found an application form from 2014 online but I assume things have been updated since this time. So far I have at the ready: Driving license, NI card, passport style photo, passport, 2 x proof of address (but they are from over 6 months ago, is this an issue?). I also have a endorser prepared but I am confused at what they have to do - do they fill out/sign a document or do I just note down contact information so they can be contacted if needed? Additionally, I assume this can be dealt with via email (and previous cases were done online), as the 2014 version only mentions mailing in. I assume this is outdated now? Sorry if any of this is super obvious, I have been scouring the web for recent information and it has been hard to come by. I appreciate any help I can get!
  24. Just to give everyone some hope and positive news - we just got approved! My K3 was denied and I130 approved. I had been tracking K3s at California and it seemed like many were processing after 4-6 months, so this lines up with what I have been seeing! (it took almost 5 months, we sent it off at the start of December). Every SC is different though. Good luck to you all!
