  1. I-751 instructions ask for as much evidence as possible, from start of marriage until now. I submitted 3 years of monthly statements for my I-751. It didn't seem to negatively affect my case as I got approved without interview. Good luck!
  2. Good evidence, but please consider what @appleblossom wrote
  3. Is this the only lease agreement you had together? Why only 6 months? I-751 instructions ask for evidence since date of marriage until day of filing. Hopefully annotated and spanning several months / years?
  4. Unless he has criminal past, or involved in questionable activities or member of certain groups, he should be OK.
  5. You need to live with your spouse for 3 years immediately prior to filing N-400 under 3 year rule. If you lived with spouse in marital union (physically, together) for 3+ years, you can apply for N-400 even if it's only been 2 years and 9 months from Resident Since date on your GC. So yes, it can disqualify some CR-1 from 90 day early filing window. If you lived in marital union since 07/22, you cannot file just yet. You can file at 3 year anniversary of living in marital union in 07/25.
  6. Example at my interview. - What's your current name? - Chrisopher Brown - Have you ever used any other names? - Yes officer, my birth certificate says Kristofer Brown. I use Chris ad a short version of my name. Never had a problem with this. On the other hand, if your name is Frank on some documents, but Robert on other. That, yeah, most likely will require some explaining.
  7. Are you a US citizen or beneficiary? If beneficiary, I hope not listing other names used is going to be OK. Because this question pops in different forms throughout the process, even in N-400. I always listed my nickname and alternative spellings of my name that appeared in documents. Didn't have to explain much or provide any other proof. Other names used field is exactly for this type of situations. I'm pretty sure warning about uploading evidence in online form could have been ignored, just like some warnings in online N-400 form that people ignore for a reason and never get an RFE. I'm talking about names like Chris, Christopher, Kristofer
  8. OK, I researched the subject more. It doesn't appear GE card proves citizenship other than in context of using GE lanes. It has "citizenship" field, but it cannot be used at SSA, DMV etc. Bummer. But I'll still try to use as a casual ID verification and write back my experience.
  9. Europe is big and diverse. UK vs Russia Denmark vs Moldova Germany vs Belarus Spoiler alert, it wasn't in Europe where I doubted their privacy practices. Besides taking physical copies, many establishments wanted to take photos of DL on their phones and send somewhere over WhatsApp to get confirmation. I'm not going to give away country name though, as I don't want to badmouth otherwise a good nation of welcoming people.
  10. Yes, passport book is required 100%. And most other country authorities will ask for passport book. I'm thinking of scenario of going to a bar / club overseas and not carrying passport book out of fear of losing or damaging it.
  11. Good question! I traveled to some places in the world where they were requiring to show ID to make a purchase or verify age. They happily took DL, but I wasn't so happy about people taking copies of it, because I did not fully trust data protection laws. Next time I'll try GE card instead and post my experience. I know in the US there's a small group of advocates for using it as form of ID to ensure your personal info such as home address doesn't get known by a cashier guy selling you a bottle of beer.
  12. I'd rather have everything ready VS getting help up by CBP waiting for translators. Also, where there is language barrier, there may be misunderstandings. But of course, can't get everything translated reasonably.
  13. And yes, actually one time, when travelling on expired GC and extension letter, kiosk told me to see a human. And he asked me whether I had a GE card to prove I have GE. Because I didn't have it on me, he asked for passport and GC.
  14. I just think of trying using Global Entry card as an ID for purchases in stores etc as it doesn't have my home address on it 😃 Maybe as an additional proof of US citizenship if I need it.
  15. Of course, English, as not many CBP would understand Italian. Of course printed, as you don't want CBP to inspect digital devices.
  16. I would strongly suggest not bringing any work laptops when she's visiting as a tourist. CBP can ask to unlock any devices, phones and laptops, and inspect contents. If they ask to show laptop and she has work files / emails / company logos etc, she's 99% going to be denied entry. Nobody is going to believe she's bringing work laptop, but she's not going to be engaged in unauthorized remote work.
  17. Important note: ESTA does not allow her to work remotely from USA, even for an Italian company. If officer at border finds out she's planning to work, he can deny entry and revoke her visa. Any unauthorized work will always have to be disclosed to USCIS during immigration process.
  18. Can't blame you for not asking, I know how it feels to be in that chair interviewed by an officer! The oath will be an easy part, so you can breathe out and leave USCIS behind 😃
  19. Amazing, I'm glad everything went smooth! Was there eraser feature available on tablet to correct things? You're almost there 😊
  20. Yes, you can show up and then can do only N-400 and have you wait for I-751 to be decided on different day.
  21. Even if only N-400 mentioned in letter, you may experience combo on the day.
  22. Only proof of status gets extended by 48 month. The status itself doesn't expire.
