  1. Right, I think the right answer is N/A in this situation. Answering "yes" and saying you live together or "no" (because child lives with me, I don't pay child support) is probably going to have a similar effect. Saying "yes" maybe perceived more positively in eyes of some officers.
  2. I interpret "support" as child support, which is only applicable if kids don't live with you due to divorce etc.
  3. Joint filing or divorce waiver? Did you move since filing?
  4. Don't forget jointly filed tax return transcripts. You may even have one for 2024 now. Don't take it too lightly, after all it's the biggest immigration benefit. But yeah, seems like you're doing everything right.
  5. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110210505 Neither lists Global Entry card as acceptable proof of citizenship.
  6. Each case is unique. You will be asked civics questions and personal questions. I'd prepare to answer any questions about marriage and abuse. They can go deep, then can go shallow, there's nobody here who can tell you that in advance. A lot depends on your specific case, on officer, or on your luck. Usually officer will tell you at the end of interview whether you're approved or need a review before approval. Good luck!
  7. Yes, people receive those from time to time as well as "ghost" updates. Sometimes it is followed by another change to case status, other times nothing happens.
  8. It's not a renewal (I-90), it's removal of conditions (I-751). You need to include as much evidence as you can: leases, joint bank statements, IRS tax return transcripts, insurance listing both spouses, trips together, photos with friends and family, insurances listing each other.
  9. I was asked to present both DL and naturalization certificate at my passport appointment at USPS.
  10. I think this card doesn't count towards 10 card limit, so I don't mind receiving a new one
  11. Great! I now have passport, so I'll take it with me. Thank you. Do I need to fill SS-5 form? Even if I don't need a new SS card?
  12. This is amazing tip, thank you. I got message showing SSA records indicate I'm not a US citizen. So I guess N-400 box didn't trigger the update. Going to head to SSA to take care of it this week.
  13. Yes, solid evidence like insurance, leases etc may be required and will be more compelling than photos. Photos is the weakest evidence. Essentially, there's multiple possibilities: 1) You're asked about marriage / divorce dates and a question or two about it 2) You're asked to explain in a lot of detail, and verbal explanation OK 3) You're asked to explain in a lot of detail PLUS you're asked for bonafide marriage evidence in form of statements, leases etc 4) You're not asked at all Nobody here can predict how your interview will go. You need to be prepared for the hard interview scenario.
  14. Yes, but also some I-751 are approved without interview
  15. I don't know the answer to this question, sadly. I had same day oath as the interview, as I didn't change my name and it wasn't in Northern Vermont. You can probably expect at least few weeks. What happens, they wait for meaningful amount of people to process in one go. So you may be just waiting for group of people to get larger, so then everybody gets invited to ceremony.
  16. In theory, new N-400 form edition asked whether I wanted to share citizenship status with SSA to update it automatically. I already have SS card without restriction. However, I still expected to get confirmation or new card. To this day, I haven't received anything and planning to visit SSA office this or next week. Is there a possibility to check citizenship status remotely (website, call)? This would save me a trip if it's already.
  17. Yes, the calculator does not take marital union into account. I think it mentions somewhere that marital union and other things can affect eligibility to file early. I would definitely file in July if I was in your situation. Good luck!
  18. I-751 instructions ask for as much evidence as possible, from start of marriage until now. I submitted 3 years of monthly statements for my I-751. It didn't seem to negatively affect my case as I got approved without interview. Good luck!
  19. Good evidence, but please consider what @appleblossom wrote
  20. Is this the only lease agreement you had together? Why only 6 months? I-751 instructions ask for evidence since date of marriage until day of filing. Hopefully annotated and spanning several months / years?
  21. Unless he has criminal past, or involved in questionable activities or member of certain groups, he should be OK.
  22. You need to live with your spouse for 3 years immediately prior to filing N-400 under 3 year rule. If you lived with spouse in marital union (physically, together) for 3+ years, you can apply for N-400 even if it's only been 2 years and 9 months from Resident Since date on your GC. So yes, it can disqualify some CR-1 from 90 day early filing window. If you lived in marital union since 07/22, you cannot file just yet. You can file at 3 year anniversary of living in marital union in 07/25.
  23. Example at my interview. - What's your current name? - Chrisopher Brown - Have you ever used any other names? - Yes officer, my birth certificate says Kristofer Brown. I use Chris ad a short version of my name. Never had a problem with this. On the other hand, if your name is Frank on some documents, but Robert on other. That, yeah, most likely will require some explaining.
