Do not put 0 income here, put the total from your 1040 as this is your income declaration under "self" as you are the person to receive those benefits with 0 dependents. The form is specific that it is not for the person in section 2. If you write self this is your income.

What would the resolve? It takes as long as it takes. Getting hung up over how long, is only self torture.

They always want the entire divorce decrees, however many pages it may be.

Send the entire divorce decree.  What did the RFE ask for?  A wise person would send EXACTLY what they requested.

Sut reacted to Genzo10 in We just applied for K-1, are we really looking at 26 months?
I don't think it is possible it would be so long, i'm reading the timeline of members who got approved currently and it didn't not change since the average time is 13.5 months. I remember it's become 13.5 months in march 2022 and it's still not changed. And the goal of USCIS is to increase the time of processing I-129 to 6 months before by the end of 2023. I think the time will begin decrease in march 2023 or little before.

It is fine to be frustrated about the process, however, it is not fine to spread out panic to those who have just filed. Please be realistic. The USCIS will not let this thing to slide up to 26 months processing unless there is another pandemic I have not yet heard of. They have recently picked up speed on touched case, expect the same to happen with closed cases.

Keep your calm and calculate with at end of next year. If the USCIS does not meet any of their cycle goals by FY23 (next Sep), Congress will hold them accountable.

We just applied for the K-1 Visa and our petition was sent to the California service center. The following video demonstrates a possible 26 month wait time for applications that are being sent right about now. The argument made in the video is that since more applications are coming in than are being processed, that the current "13.5 month" wait time for just USCIS processing is  only for applications that were sent 13.5 months ago. As a forecast, considering the current ratio of applications-in vs. applications-out, this is saying that it would be another 26 months or so for anyone applying now. Does this argument make sense?

Unfortunately not all of us can get married very easily. Not every situation is the same.
Also how is the backlog in Tokyo?

    Not necessarily.

We both signed a joint letter of intent to marry and were approved with no RFEs.

Thank you so much! I try my best to be as transparent as I can with everyone, cause I know how much stress this process can bring.

If you marry, you have to start from scratch.......and it will takes around another 18 months for the CR-1 visa to be issued.

Seems like the last the case worker wants to do is dig through a huge pile to get to the relevant information. To be honest, if I was that case worker I would have rejected it until it was cut down to a manageable size.

I'm just surprised they didn't get angry with you for sending 400 pages of stuff. Imagine how the person who got that file on their desk felt.

So we have met up a total of 3 times. Once in Algeria for 2 weeks, once in Tunisia for 2 weeks and then most recently in Dubai for a week. We could not meet up more than that as for a year and a half due to COVID the boarders of Algeria were shut down.. no one in and no one out. This is why we provided the additional evidence as this was not our fault we could not meet up but we wanted to demonstrate that we maintained a strong relationship. In his culture this age difference is not so common. But things like communication with family is very important so we included this evidence as well.

I'm 15 years older than my husband and I've been divorced twice previously. He came here on a K-1 in June of last year. We had only spent 6 days together total but he was approved. There's definitely hope, don't be discouraged! Good luck.
