  1. I see …and I suppose nothing more bigly than the current scam😂 All roads do lead to Rome.. "It's a scam, just like everything he's ever been involved in is some sort of con," https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2024/04/04/trump-media-stock-is-a-scam-barry-diller-says.html
  2. You will want to argue rehabilitation , hardship and make strong case why you merit discretion. But as pointed out by other member , a great many details ( Unkn here) affect your chances. Read through AAO USCIS non precedent decisions as you research https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/err/H2 - Waiver of Inadmissibility - Criminal - 212 (h)/Decisions_Issued_in_2024/JUN052024_01H2212.pdf

  5. Waiver for non immigrant visa does not require qualifying relative , so no hardship to argue. Hardship to self is irrelevant. What makes you think the CO / Consular Officer will give thumbs up recommendation….? See 2nd link and note “you” refers to CO, not applicant Are you DIY or paid an attorney? https://fam.state.gov/fam/09FAM/09FAM030503.html 9 FAM 305.3-3 WAIVER FOR NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS INELIGIBLE BASED ON CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS AND RELATED ACTIVITIES - INA 212(A)(2) 9 FAM 305.3-3(A) Crimes of Moral Turpitude - INA 212(a)(2)(A)(i)(I) (CT:VISA-1368; 09-16-2021) a. While the exercise of discretion and good judgment is essential, you may recommend waivers for any legitimate purpose of travel.
  6. While most pled guilty / cooperated with prosecution between 2019-2022 some have pending sentencing and appeals …one actually overturned conviction . A rose by any other name is still a rose😂
  7. Investigations of College Admissions and Testing Bribery Scheme Dozens of individuals involved in a nationwide conspiracy that facilitated cheating on college entrance exams and the admission of students to elite universities as purported athletic recruits were arrested by federal agents in multiple states and charged in documents unsealed on March 12, 2019, in federal court in Boston. Athletic coaches from Yale, Stanford, USC, Wake Forest and Georgetown, among others, are implicated, as well as parents and exam administrators. Individuals who have questions or inquiries about this case may send an email to the following address: USAMA.VictimAssistance@usdoj.gov Below is a list of the defendants. The charging documents are attached at the bottom of this page. https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/investigations-college-admissions-and-testing-bribery-scheme
  8. Your Joint Sponsor is income qualified even if he only meets the threshold, you can safely use him….they don’t grow on trees and it’s not always easy to find others. ‘4 paystubs are adequate , include the W-2 and try to get him to go online and get IRS tax transcripts
  9. He will still need to correctly fill out the I-864 , show the income and write a short statement on the last page of I-864 saying Taxes not filed as there is no earned income as per IRS guidelines. Current income is non taxable SS lifetime age benefits
  10. Social Security ( example age benefit or permanent disability) IS considered income. It simply is not taxable .
  11. You have zero risk. The stamp is a reflection of your LPR status , neither of which is tied to the I-90 or plastic card . Go without worry and stop calling USCIS 😂 You did good in refilling , since appealing most recent denial for incomplete response to RFE likely means evidence u sent never made to file . My concern was strictly based on the possible unknowns , since you cleared that , you’re good to go and will have no trouble getting back in
  12. If you were interviewing in China, translations would not be required. ..but for London , they will be needed. Get the certificates and translation as one document directly from the source , thus China . You can certainly prep the extensive list of documents they require and even arrange an authorization for a friend or hired service to get them done when timing is right , since you will be a globe trotter! Nice plan, have a beautiful time. Not worth doing it now or guessing time frame , unless you want to do a dry run and are ok w redoing them again. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/China.html https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/visa-processing-and-documents/#:~:text=With the exception of the,of birth or current residence.

  14. Just imagine getting a FaceTime call with deepfake of a spouse, child or friend . Guess we need to practice code words…Pineapple ?! ..in Shanxi province this year involving a female financial employee, who was tricked into transferring 1.86 million yuan ($262,000) to a fraudster’s account after a video call with a deepfake of her boss. Broader implications In addition to direct attacks, companies are increasingly worried about other ways deepfake photos, videos or speeches of their higher-ups could be used in malicious ways, cybersecurity experts say. According to Jason Hogg, cybersecurity expert and executive-in-residence at Great Hill Partners, deepfakes of high-ranking company members can be used to spread fake news to manipulate stock prices, defame a company’s brand and sales, and spread other harmful disinformation. “That’s just scratching the surface,” said Hogg, who formerly served as an FBI Special Agent. He highlighted that generative AI is able to create deepfakes based on a trove of digital information such as publicly available content hosted on social media and other media platforms. Deepfake technology has already become widespread outside the corporate world. From fake pornographic images to manipulated videos promoting cookware, celebrities like Taylor Swift have fallen victim to deepfake technology. Deepfakes of politicians have also been rampant. Meanwhile, some scammers have made deepfakes of individuals’ family members and friends in attempts to fool them out of money. According to Hogg, the broader issues will accelerate and get worse for a period of time as cybercrime prevention requires thoughtful analysis in order to develop systems, practices, and controls to defend against new technologies. However, the cybersecurity experts told CNBC that firms can bolster defenses to AI-powered threats through improved staff education, cybersecurity testing, and requiring code words and multiple layers of approvals for all transactions — something that could have prevented cases such as Arup’s https://www.cnbc.com/2024/05/28/deepfake-scams-have-looted-millions-experts-warn-it-could-get-worse.html
  15. That sounds innocent enough😂. For a moment I envisioned a nefarious past ( like arrests, convictions etc..) If the 1st card was approved and lost in transit, then you should be good to go on your trip on Monday. ‘If push comes to shove on return, and you get questions, you can say you had not received the decision before leaving and plan to appeal anyway. ‘Don’t volunteer info , just stand your ground. Since I assume the 2nd filing, you did not pay a fee ( for non receipt of card), you can also choose to file ONLINE a new I-90 today , pay the fee , receipt and case number will be instant and you can travel with peace of mind
  16. They have denied two I-90 renewals. Houston We Have a Problem! Get a copy of both denials to understand what you are dealing with. If you have an online account, you should be able to see and print out the decision . Is it possible you made critical errors in filling forms both times? Smart move is to reschedule trip till you sort this out. ..Yes, CBP can “see” denial and though you could force the issue for re entry, it might be unpleasant. Why do you think both were denied?
  17. For the uninitiated, regular folks who are not in the habit of insults, playground bullying…above phrase seemingly used as a signature call sign in this thread has a distinct and derogatory meaning. It is a favorite of maga extremists and some decorate their cars and homes with it. On the subject of the thread and lamenting USCIS/DOS costs and delays ….one would ponder if Domestic arrangements may better suit future readers , similarly situated😇. A "Let's Go Brandon" sign outside of a Florida residence "Let's Go Brandon" is a political slogan and Internet meme used as a euphemism for the phrase "F( our letter word )Joe Biden" in reference to Joe Biden, the 46th and current president of the United States. Chants of "F(edit)Joe Biden" began during sporting events in early September 2021. On October 2, 2021, during a televised interview with the Sparks 300 race winner Brandon Brown at Talladega https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let's_Go_Brandon
  18. Me, I support Democrats party platform …is it that hard to tell?😂 ‘The party favors a mixed economy and generally supports a progressive tax system, higher minimum wages, Social Security, universal health care, public education, and subsidized housing. It also supports infrastructure development and clean energy investments to achieve economic development and job creation.’
  19. British engineering giant Arup revealed as $25 million deepfake scam victim Hong KongCNN — A British multinational design and engineering company behind world-famous buildings such as the Sydney Opera House has confirmed that it was the target of a deepfake scam that led to one of its Hong Kong employees paying out $25 million to fraudsters. A spokesperson for London-based Arup told CNN on Friday that it notified Hong Kong police in January about the fraud incident, and confirmed that fake voices and images were used. Hong Kong police said in February that during the elaborate scam the employee, a finance worker, was duped into attending a video call with people he believed were the chief financial officer and other members of staff, but all of whom turned out to be deepfake re-creations. According to police, the worker had initially suspected he had received a phishing email from the company’s UK office, as it specified the need for a secret transaction to be carried out. However, the worker put aside his doubts after the video call because other people in attendance had looked and sounded just like colleagues he recognized. He subsequently agreed to send a total of 200 million Hong Kong dollars — about $25.6 million. The amount was sent across 15 transactions, Hong Kong public broadcaster RTHK reported, citing police. “Deepfake” normally refers to fake videos that have been created using artificial intelligence (AI) and look extremely realistic. https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/16/tech/arup-deepfake-scam-loss-hong-kong-intl-hnk/index.html
  20. Agree with all your points , but is there any way to know if F4 is oversubscribed and qued up even after DQ ?
  21. If the goal is to bring parents here fast , just complete the F-4 and stay on top of case til it’s DQ and interview scheduled. Filing new cases , you are looking at 1.5 to 2 year process from start to finish … Nothing wrong with having 2 horses in the same race…but to get your 2nd ( fresh ) one to the SAME GATE ( NVC) ..there’s a one year processing time , at least. And you will still need to deal with and satisfy same NVC requirements. ..so get past your mad-at-NVC frustration and fix outstanding issues
