  1. That date changes frequently. For my wife’s case it is now showing 8 months. We check it every once in a while.
  2. Same here. For my wife’s N-400 application, we ended up uploading a few attachments twice. Better safe than sorry!
  3. As you have explained, this is simply a mistake. You are trying to fix the error by amending your 2018 taxes. When you apply for your N-400, be honest and answer "yes" to that question and then provide a written statement and explain in full details on what happened. I would also provide a copy of amended 2018 tax returns to support your statment. Furthermore, if your CPA can provide a statement that they made a mistake, it would help to attach their statement as well (I doubt your CPA will do this). Again, mistakes happen and your are dealing with it. Good luck.
  4. I am not sure for what purpose they kept your expired and unexpired passports. They simply could have made copies of the relevant pages. You should not have allowed them do that. I know it is too late now. I would consult an attorney to see how to proceed.
  5. My wife waited 3 days. She filed on 9/12 around 6 pm Pacific time. It immediately showed 9/13 as filing date (next day). I researched and read that USCIS servers use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is 7 hours ahead of Pacific time. Not worth taking any chance. Just wait a few days before filing....in the big picture it does not make any difference.
  6. Congratulations. This must be a record for USCIS! All the best at the interview/oath ceremony.
  7. My wife's N-400 processing time is now showing 8 months. Remains to be seen if this is accurate or not.
  8. This is great news. Progress! I hope next update soon will be an I-751 approval or a combo interview.
  9. Here you go: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ These processing times are usually way off. Best is to look on your account online a few days after filing, and it gives you an idea of how long it will take to process your application. Good luck.
  10. No. She moved to US in October 2018. She listed all her international trips taken AFTER October 2018 and up until the day before we filed the application. In her case it was a little short of 4 years. Hope this clarifies it a bit further.
  11. For my wife's N-400, she is applying under 3 year rule. She only put the travel dates going back to the first date she moved to US (which was just shy of 4 years ago). Good luck with your N-400 application. Hope you get a quick interview.
  12. I would go with retired. Good luck finishing up your application today. Hope you guys get a combo interview.
  13. My wife received her I-797 notice via snail mail with 9/13 date (same info as posted online). Her notice also starts with an “IOE”. We have noticed there are not that many VJ members with recent N-400 filings at LA office. This makes it difficult to get a read on timeline, though we are seeing some members waiting 7-9 months before interviews.
  14. Thanks. I hope your upcoming N-400 and ROC both get quick approvals.
  15. My wife just submitted her N-400 application online. See below signature for all updates Local office: Los Angeles, CA
  16. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/questions-and-answers/100q.pdf
  17. Is your husband applying under 3 year rule? I read somewhere on VJ that when applying under 3 year rule, every question that asks you for 5 years, only answer it for 3 years. Not sure if that is correct but if it is, then your husband may be OK since he moved here in 2019.
  18. Hi Joy, My wife listed only 4 years of travel as it relates to this question. This is because she moved to US in late 2018 and there is no reason to list trips while she was not living in this country.
  19. My wife will be filing for her N-400 under 3 year rule next Tuesday. She received her 10 year GC in June 2022. Our field office is Los Angeles County (downton LA). We are basically uploading most of the same information which she used for her I-751 (updated to include latest statements- she is not uploading any pictures). I will update here once we have filed with any updates. Based on VJ immigration timeline, I am seeing roughly 8-9 months before interview/oath. If anyone has recent timeline experience, please share. @Scandi, thanks for setting this thread up while back and for your hint on parking around LA FO.
  20. We do not remember. My wife thinks we uploaded marriage certificate along with taxes and then everything else under additional. Again, we were not concerned about what to upload on each section as long as we uploaded everything.
  21. No. We uploaded everything just once. 3 year tax was uploaded in tax section. Other relationship-based documents (bank/utilities/insurance) were uploaded under “additional”. I am not sure it matters that much. The entire file will be reviewed by one IO and they can see all the attachments uploaded as they wish.
  22. I read on VJ that as long as you make some changes within 1 month, the file stays active. But if you do not make ANY changes, then it will disappear after 1 month.
  23. We did the same. We put all relationship-based evidences (bank/credit card/insurance statements) under the additional section. I agree with @HatoKo, I do not think it matters as they will all get combined at the end.
  24. My wife started filling out her N-400 application online, yesterday. She will do the final submission on 9/13. You do not have to do anything for it to be saved. It does so automatically. When you are done for the day, simply logout or close your browser. When you log back in next time, it will pick it up where it was left off. We completed it all the way through to payment page and then it gave us a red alert and told us we are not eligible until 9/10 (which we knew already). We logged in today to make sure all the attachments were still there and it looked fine. She will next login on 9/13 when she is ready to process payment and submit the application. The process was quite simple and easy to follow. Uploading the attachments was very easy, as well. Good luck.
