  1. Yes, send all. I have the same. We just finished our I-130 journey and hubby is now here with me.
  2. Am divorced in Harris County. We do not have Divorce Certificate here. You will have to send the whole Decree including the last page where it says Certified Copy. Written across the left side, it will have the Certified Document Number and Total Number of Pages. You can request 1 digital certified copy at https://www.hcdistrictclerk.com/edocs/public/search.aspx (you instantly get it for download (or email I forgot)) Hope this helps!
  3. I suggest re-applying online as well. https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-1-part-b-chapter-6
  4. Though DFA have sent us the transmission notice (in July, registered in May at SF), it was not readily available from PSA archive. When we requested last month (Aug), we got response that it is unavailable. But no worries, it did not affect our petition. We were able to secure CFO for my husband ( which is where you will need the MC).. my hubby is now here with me in US. I just 'tried' to request for ONE copy of PSA MC again yesterday... Just for personal copy, nothing to use it for. I just want to know if it is available already, so not to waste much money. (We did request 5 copies in August, and all we got are 5 printed that it was not available yet from PSA - yeah, what a waste!). We are married via Utah Web-conferencing as well. Here is our email to: oca.crd-us@dfa.gov.ph to request transmittal details: Good afternoon! I would like to request an update for the availability of the Transmittal details. Attached herewith is the ROM copy. Thank you very much! Registry Number: ROM-SF-2022-XXX Date of Registration: May XX, 2022 I would like to request from your good office the Transmittal Details so that we can request a PSA document of our Marriage Certificate. Here is the information being requested by psaserbilis: (1) DFA REFERENCE NUMBER (2) DISPATCH NUMBER (3) DISPATCH DATE (4) TRANSMITTAL DATE Best Regards, Your Name
  5. Start watching in October/Nov. If you have Facebook, join https://www.facebook.com/groups/IR5VISA - they are active USEM group. You can ask to be added to a group chat that monitors for November.
  6. Vaccination - I believe you need to have 1 booster to be exempted from showing covid negative test. Prior to flying, you need to register to https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/ Bring masks - it is still required. Bring your own pen - yep, it is a small thing but you will need it. Exchange money at airport - you will probably need pesos for your transportation or tips (not required but appreciated for a help that you may need. I needed help for my luggages ). (anyone picking you up, meeting you? Meeting someone?) Get SIM card from airport (they are free last time, you just have to load it like 500 pesos). You now have a philippine number if you need it (calls, internet) Download Grab app (i do not know if just FB can register or need phil number). My husband has grab app when I visited him. It is better than taxi. Hotel - I booked Marriott (well i got points to use).. but if you do book this, see if you get offered with Travel Insurance. When I booked my arrival night room, they offered a $20 dollar Travel Insurance from Allianz. Then go to the TI website and adjust your date. I was able to adjust it to 3-week duration without additional fee. ($20 for 3 weeks - good deal!) Then, my May travel got postponed because of covid+, so had to rebooked for July had to pay fare change ($600). .. Because of Travel Insurance - got my $500 back. Of course, be cautious all the time (regardless of country or first time/regular traveler).. I was just back to US last week (With my immigrating husband, yey!). Have a great time! It is rainy season.. but still enjoyable.
  7. No problem in existing US... Once you interview and got the visa, you are coming back in as Immigrant. Embassy will have your passport to attach visa, so you will have to wait for it to fly back in.
  8. Banks take them as they need them as well for their clients. Yes, there might be different exchange rate (on some places) on smaller bills. But with our experience, it was the same. Granted we had to exchange more than $200 those times but combination of bills ($1,$5,$10,$20,$50,$100). I have not tried with coins, didn't have to at any times (yet!).
  9. It is not worthless. A dollar can buy you a good meal. And it is convertible. Some exchange places may require minimum, fellow Filipinos needing small change for their int'l travel will exchange them as well. Again, for a tip, depending on situation, 1 dollar maybe too small or enough. (Am apologetic if I did not have enough to cover a tip for a good service ). A lot of us Filipinos will be happy with your trash dollars .
  10. I do tip in dollars at the airport if I do not have pesos or enough "valid" pesos. I appreciate my kababayans helping me in my luggage. I prefer tipping in pesos so that they can use it right away versus foreign currency that they have to collect and exchange. One dollar is not a piece of trash but it is small amount for multiple luggage.
  11. It is the monetary currency, not the converted value. 50K in pesos; 10K USD. They can question you - where was the PESOS produced. Philippines change their paper money from time to time. When I went to visit last month, I still had Philippine paper monies from my previous trip - and they were useless . Bringing them out the country is questionable for big amounts (other than souvenir and your allowance once on your next Philippine trip). Much more bringing them in Philippines - (you will be questioned where you got it). Now, am back in US, I still have about 10K pesos with me... hoping that my next trip to Philippines it is still being used! I used it to pay porters, transportation, tips, food, etc.. I do not want to tip in dollars if I can in pesos.
  12. We did not get email from LBC. We even emailed them, but we got the home delivery and received their email reply the next day. I believe for pickup, you will get an email/text. The visa would probably been produced the day you got the email with attachments (info about SS, immigrant fee)... depending on your location, allow for delivery time. We got ours 2 days (Quezon City) after USEM email.
  13. You should receive your passport shorty via LBC (your chosen method - pickup/delivery). Congratulations!
  14. Update on my post DFA Americas told us in end of May to check back end of June. - After few weekly inquiries, we got the DFA Transmittal Details today - it was transmitted July 8, 2022. DFA transmits to PSA every Friday.
  15. I am sorry for your loss. This is is heartbreaking. I have researched this before for a friend, but do not have the answers now as she did not pursue it. I hope and pray all is well with you and kids. Prayers offered.
  16. I was able to add my husband after marriage through our company benefit changes. BCBS. He is still abroad. Few weeks later got letter from BCBS, asking for SS# and I replied, not yet available as he is still outside US. No response back from BCBS, he is still listed. We have Global coverage for BCBS.
  17. For tourists, I believe it is required to exit Philippines. My friends are flying in this July, they were required to get TI. https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/ph/home/covid-19/DepartingFromThePH/EligiblePaxForIntlTravel
  18. I see... Yes, Philippines is Biggie on Original or Certified documents (waiting for the time they join the digital era ). Maybe the death was reported to Germany? Maybe they have a centralized records (like PSA for Philippines) that your wife can request (ie - certified copy with raised stamp)? Sorry, I feel your stress.
  19. Maybe Report of Death? Hard though for which Consulate will that fall into or maybe report in Philippines. Sorry, sounds complicated.
  20. @PWB Just curious on this.... The previous husband, was he a Filipino? If yes, the death certificate that you submitted to Phil Houston Consulate, was it the PSA certified copy?
  21. So, do you have your Visa on hand? Have she tried to register for CFO and was she not allowed to take seminar because ROM on PSA paper is not available?? If so, have you reasoned with them that Consulate have backlog (provide maybe an email inquiry of their reply). We mailed our ROM on Feb, opened/received by Sanfo Consulate on 03/22; we got our ROM back on 05/26 with registry date of 05/23. They said transmission is in June, so waiting on monthend to request transmission number again.
  22. Have you tried her applying Returning Resident Visa? https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/returning-resident.html
  23. I read it, first 2? The first for LPR, second is for USC petitioner. Or maybe I misunderstood what you're looking for..
  24. No issue. Bring/show Philippine passport to Philippine immigration to avail balikbayan privilege rather than 30 day limit. if she forgot it and only shows US passport, she is allowed entry and stay for 30 days, no visa needed. Needs return ticket for visa-free, exempted if availing balikbayan privilege passport valid at least 6 months. travel health insurance recommended but not required. . Since no booster, get antigen negative test 24h or rtpcr 48 hrs before flight Bring vaxxcard.
  25. First: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx >> Check that your status is "Ready" Second: Create a CGI account for USEM https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ -- Secure an Appointment date. Lucky you, there are plenty available for July at this time. Third: Setup the medical appointment with SLEC: https://slec.ph/ >> Anytime in June gives you plenty time. If medically cleared (2-day medica), applicant can attend appointment you have selected on #2
