Should be alright. (Hubby stayed at Bayview Park and walked to USEM). Or use Grab app to get a ride. I find Grab safer than Taxi.

When I dropped off my dual application at Houston PCG in January, I received their acknowledgement email after 3 weeks. It may take longer when mailed as I saw on dropoff that they received tons of mail every day. When we mailed our ROM to SF consulate, took 3 months for processing. Hope this helps!

Advanced Passenger Information help?
hunny&me replied to Senescence's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Yes, coz your entry visa's intention is to be admitted as Resident and processed as Resident. Just a side note, make sure after immigration, check your passport that you are admitted as IR-1 endorsement. There are few that missed the endorsement or admitted via another way (visa free, another visa) - if this happens, you may need to go back to CBP. -
Advanced Passenger Information help?
hunny&me replied to Senescence's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Your IR1 visa contains your Alien#. Landed Resident. That will be your LPR/PRC# if what you see in your Registration Number is less than 9 chars, just add zeros. example in image below 00000473 (8chars); in green card prints as 000-000-473 -
Visa Packet to enter the US?
hunny&me replied to Johgalli's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
You are good to enter US with your passport and visa (both unexpired of course). It is electronic now for IR packet. "IV DOCS IN CCD" . Have a safe flight! -
You can complete CFO remotely/online. https://www.cfo.gov.ph/ or google CFO Philippines. Once visa is on hand, access CFO website from 7am Monday - Thursday. Note that the website closes when they are full for the day. Once you place your application, upload your docs (the website will tell you what is required), then they will contact you for interview (my beneficiary done it via whatsapp that they provided). Once completed, they email the CFO certificate. Hope this helps!

United States. You can choose Other. Cheaper if mailed to Philippine address than abroad. I suggest request 1 copy initially - it takes a couple of months at least from filing til it reach psa. Then first request takes a while as it is UNCONVERTED.. requires 15 days to convert. I did a mistake to request 5 copies initially - came back 5 copies of not yet available - wasted money. So, after some time, I requested 1 copy and got it. Next, requested more copies. After sending application, scan and email a copy on the psaserbilis email referencing your new ref number - so that they can pull it faster otherwise, it may result to unconverted again. You can use the PSA ROM for any Philippine transaction that requires showing marriage status. Hope this helps!

Where ever your location is/are. If wife is in Philippines, she goes to Notary there to sign the ROM. While you, if here in US, visits notary. If you are both here, you can use 1 notary. Essentially, notary is to certify that document was signed in person by the person.

For my husband, we paid before the entry. We got his card exactly 90th day of entry. (Houston, TX). It varies, we have chat group that they have received theirs quickly. If you guys have not received GC on by January 15, 2024 (90 days from application (sep 11) for you), then you can file inquiry online. Regardless though, you can use the endorsed visa as your I-551 stamp as it is the temporary green card.

Actual Service Center
hunny&me replied to Petersaad1's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Yes. the accepting SC can be different from the processing SC. Especially when filed online. When I filed, Nebraska was my letter. I asked Emma after 2 weeks of filing, found out its in Vermont. Got the approval from Vermont. -
6 months validity from Day 1 medical to use it as a requirement for Point of Entry. So if you have your medical April 1 and 2 - and you are cleared, then your interview with USEM is April 30, or May 30, or June 30... If approved for Visa, your visa will have expiry of around November 1. which means you have to enter US before that date. Scenario - your medical is April 1 - you are sent for sputum collection scheduled April 17,18,19.. your will be given a schedule to return to SLEC for vaccine around June 14 (it takes 8 weeks for s sputum culture).. If you are called earlier than June 14, it is possible your sputum test return anomalies. Otherwise, you get your vaccines/medical completion on your Return Day. If you see you are closing to your return day and no calls received, go book/watch your interview slot probably a week after return day (my hubby had his interview the day after Return day - we advised SLEC of interview schedule so they can send the file to USEM on return day to be ready for an early morning interview). Once you got issued a visa, USEM can only issue you visa with expiry around November 1, which is your 6 months from Day 1. You then need to plan for CFO next then fly out and enter before your visa expiry. Hope this helps!

Updating petitioner's documents [merged threads]
hunny&me replied to Jake77's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
You upload this with your CEAC/NVC login. Otherwise, USEM may send you out (if still early) and you will have to do the same.. scan and upload. So might as well, refresh your expiring docs. i suggest that you upload/submit at least a week before your interview day. USEM checks these documents days before your interview (you will sometimes see in tracker that the date is changing before even interviewed). -
1.) No, you do not need to get vaccines elsewhere. SLEC will administer appropriate vaccine for your age meaning... if required Vaccine A is for 10-16 years old, and you are 40, vaccine A will not be administered to you. Vaccines are included in the fixed fee of SLEC. 2.) That is correct. SLEC medical is valid for 6 months. If you have no issue on your medical day (Day 1), you get vaccines next working day (Day 2)... then it is valid for 6 months. Now if on your Day 1, you are sent for sputum TB test, the culture result takes 2 months. Your schedule for sputum may be a week or 2 from your Day 1 medical. All in all consuming about 3 months of of the validity (from Day 1). Now if positive for TB, then it will be longer. Hope this helps!

Expiration date on (MRIV)
hunny&me replied to Sabela's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Also, seems you are referring to the I-9 verification documents. You can just show your driver's license + unrestricted SS Card for verification of employment: -

Hmm.. my previous group, none of our beneficiaries for IR1 / IR2 have yellow packets. It is all electronic, you will see something like "IV Docs in CCD" on visa page.
-
The shipping plastic/envelope you have to open to get your passport. Scan your bio page and visa page to upload to CFO. Seems you are K1 and has yellow packet - that you do not open. Also, CFO regular process time is M-Th 7-4pm. Some agents do work as they please (like the one we had, she has been communicating via message on a saturday/sunday). If your docs are complete, you should be able to get your CFO certificate next week. Blessings and happy travel to you.

Are you USC? I am USC, divorced from the father of my daughter (no communication even), been traveling back/forth (me and daughter) since she was a baby - and never was I asked info from the father. And do have different last name from my daughter. I am a former Filipino, so I claim Balikbayan privileges at immigration to be given 1 year rather than 30 days. But if I do get 30 days, extension can be applied for through Bureau of Immigration, i believe.
