Cased approved

Huzzah! We have an interview scheduled for April 18! We called the (mis)information phone number to find out the interview date/time because we have had mailing issues and we wanted to make sure we were aware well in advance when the appointment would be. 
 
The work permit has still not been adjudicated and so I asked if that will be paused since the I-485 interview is scheduled. The support agent said no, they’ll continue processing because it will likely be a couple months after the interview before a decision is made on the greencard. 
 
does that sound right?! I keep seeing y’all say approved right in the interview. 
 
we’re so ready to be complete with this process, but if nothing else I really want to file our joint tax return and we’re waiting on an SSN to do that unless we really have to pay an accepting agent to apply for an ITIN (we’re adjusting from a B visa, couldn’t have gotten a SSN upon arrival). 
 
friendly thoughts/suggestions? 

Just got the date from Emma, it’s April 13th.

Interview today in OKC, approved on the spot! Super easy we weren’t even asked any questions 😂 our officer just confirmed everything and said congrats! You’re walking out a permanent resident!

Hey guys ! Good news to share! My status was changed to “ interview was schedule” on Nov 2. It took 54 days since Bio appointment. 

i checked the website, they haven’t uploaded the letter yet so I don’t know when my interview will be. But I guess it might be in December.
 
Don’t lose any hope and stay patient, I believe good news will fly to you very soon.  

Interview went great! Case status changed immediately to 'Card Being Produced' then yesterday to 'Case Was Approved', and the EAD and AP status both changed to 'Case Closed, Benefit Received By Other Means.' 
 
I'm over the moon and didn't expect all this to happen so soon!

I just got my 10 years green card in the mail today. 
Filing date : 3/21/21
Approved date : 10/6/21
Green card received date : 10/8/21
File at Texas center, our case number start with SRC
I kept checking my case status every other day. Around May they said my previous biometrics is updated to my case. And it has been like that since last time I checked it. There was no interview schedule or anything. Just got the green card in the mail today. I was surprised, thought it would take way longer.

That's the office we are using too. I live in Tulsa. I hope it goes that fast for our interview too we have biometrics on Friday the 1st.

Well I have another update! Just received my interview letter! 
Interview is scheduled on November 8th in Oklahoma City (we live in Dumas TX but this is the closest office to us). 

Hi all, just an update on our progress so far. They seem to have moved really quickly with this stage so fingers crossed its a similar pace with the rest of the application.

Still waiting on the letter with the appointment details so hopefully won't be much longer!

Just found this post...Yes I'm happy same sex couples are getting visas. When I met my current partner I wasn't even aware that was possible until I heard it from someone else and I started the k1 process. Because in my country of Dominican republic same sex marriage is not allowed so k1 is was my only option to bring her over to the united states. I am so happy I was able to accomplish that.

Nothing to add here except I’m really excited to see same sex couples getting visas. My husband and I were married in 2006 and his cousin was trying to get a nursing visa here in the US but had to turn one down because he had a same sex union. We’re hoping to get him over here some day. Best wishes!

We got approved on Monday June 14th and we got the visa today! 

Finally joining in as a June 2020 NOA1! What a long year!

Finally received an approval notice! Now the wait just continues but glad to get past the first large hurdle. Hoping the last few people waiting from June get theirs soon!

and only today did I see approval..
