  1. Your timeline is confusing -- it says that the visa was approved, and that you've filed for Adjustment of Status. Please correct your timeline, and explain here exactly where you are in the process. From your question, it appears that your Albanian fiancé will interview for the K-1 visa in Italy.
  2. I don't know, but it's certainly worth asking about. It may save a lot of time. It's strange that you weren't given exact instructions about what to do.
  3. Did the officer who interviewed you tell you where to file the waiver? Will the officer's USCIS office take it and process it? Or, do you mail the waiver to some other USCIS address?
  4. Having been "spoiled" (to pick a term) by Trumpian foreign policy, I'm mystified why any of this is the U.S.'s business at all. In fact, might it not be the U.S.'s fault, for having broken that 1990s (?) promise to Putin about not expanding NATO?
  5. Per what I think Boiler said some time ago, when we read the term "woman" or "man," it means the opposite of what we read. What are the penalties for refusing, and might this be worth fighting in court?
  6. L.A. City Council specifically voted on it. Make your bed, lie in it...
  7. If they try this again, mass noncooperation is likely (and called for).
  8. Thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves that phase.
  9. Comments? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Barack Obama the Vindictive Enforcer The definition of "vindictive" is to have or show a "strong or unreasoning desire for revenge." As an observer of the ongoing humiliation and persecution currently directed toward Donald J. Trump and anyone who supports him, what America may now be witnessing is an unparalleled display of malicious revenge. One might ask, "Who is driving this retribution?" The most obvious answer to that question is that it must be a self-absorbed force with a notorious reputation for spiteful exoneration. Judging from past conduct, that force would be none other than former president Barack Obama. [...] https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2023/08/barack_obama_the_vindictive_enforcer.html
  10. Trump to be judged by offspring of communist revolutionaries -report How's this for a conflict of interest? Turns out President Trump's judge in the January 6 case, Tanya Chukhan, is the granddaughter of bona fide communist revolutionaries back in her native Jamaica: [...] https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/08/trump_to_be_judged_by_offspring_of_communist_revolutionaries_report.html
  11. Hoo, boy... Kurt Schlichter unloads! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This Political Prosecution Scheme Is Going To Backfire Hard Yuck it up, you morons who think it's cool to try to frame political opponents because your mug shots are coming soon enough. And maybe not just mugshots. You've genuinely screwed yourselves. You can't control what you have unleashed. And you're celebrating. You shouldn't. 12. Biden Suggests He Will Mandate a COVID Booster for All Americans This Fall [...] Over the weekend, the president told reporters that he plans to ask Congress for additional funds to develop a new vaccine, adding that he may force everyone to take it whether they previously received the initial vaccine. 13. New York City Rat Problem so Bad Now They're a Tourist Attraction It's long been said that New York City is a rat race, but now tourists are coming not to see the Empire State Building, Broadway, or the Statue of Liberty—but instead to witness the rat hordes. 14. Governor Abbott sends another migrant bus to L.A. after mayor complains about the last one [...] Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass complained about the last bus Abbott sent to her city so, five days later, another bus arrived from Texas. On Saturday, bus number 10 arrived in Los Angeles. A total of 39 illegal aliens were on the bus – 12 families, including 21 children. 15. Georgia indictment of Trump is the same flawed product in a different package [...] Although there are strong criminal allegations against some of the defendants on individual acts, the effort to prosecute Trump is based on loose alleged conspiracies and little new evidence involving his own actions. 16. Hoo, boy -- this author is hot! And not incorrect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Inconvenient Trump: Republicans Are Living an Enormous Lie The Democrats and the media run a constant clown show, but the Republicans play along as useless puppets, willfully participating in a system designed to destroy them. The Republican party is allowing itself to be rigged by playing by the rules of an old system that no longer exists. The Democrats, bureaucracy, and media are vicious apparatchiks. They are a dirty and obvious enemy who clearly need to be fought. The Republicans are worse because they don't see their own participation in the Big Lie. They would rather step over Trump's dead political body than save the republic. In so doing, they will never have power again, even if they regain it. They will be vassals of the state apparatus, nothing more … or else. [...] https://spectator.org/an-inconvenient-trump-republicans-are-living-an-enormous-lie/
  17. Disinfo-nation: the new censorship is here to stay [...] When we stop to think about it, the list of topics on which the government and mass media feel called to protect us from "disinformation" is very long. Merely by printing some lists on which damnable forms of disinformation circulate I may be triggering some readers. The only safe response is to avert your gaze and hum a Taylor Swift song. 18. Joe Biden's haplessness isn't funny anymore This week, US president Joe Biden finally visited the fire-ravaged community of Lahaina in Hawaii, some 13 days after the deadly wildfires began. This was no doubt intended as a way to reassure devastated locals and Americans in general that their dear leader is not an out-of-touch old rich dude with a feeble mind. It was, instead, a spectacular example of Biden being just that. [...] https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/08/27/joe-bidens-haplessness-isnt-funny-anymore/
  19. Some consulates permit petitioners to be on the premises during a beneficiary's interview. This is optimal if the CO has questions and wants to clarify answers by calling in the petitioner. However, it would be highly unusual for the petitioner to share this, the first interview. Other consulates have petitioners wait outside the premises. Either way, take the petitioner's U.S. passport to hand to the document-collector inside the consulate. In the interview, tell the CO, "My fiancé is outside, if you'd like to talk."
  20. Scintillating Sunday repartee, yawn man. ------- Thrilling Sunday report, see man: Took Mini-B. to visit Mama T-B., ecstatic senior she man. Short visit ruined further by uncertainty about little amigo's party's start-time, disorganized man. We had barely raced casa-ward to wrangle laundry when we had to head back, hectic man. Of course, had to stop at drugstore to get Mama T-B.'s pills, man. Delivered pills and retrieved Mini-B., aysheep wee man man. Then we had to stop at the casa again so Mini-B. could get his hoodie, good grief man. Why couldn't Mini-B. have told us to bring the hoodie so we could go right to the party, huh man? Despite all this, dropped Mini-B. at party in ample time, good grief man. Lunch was Many (2+2) Arby's gut-bombs*, takeout and ingest we man. *procured WUOC, financially savvy we man We managed to catch up on the laundry, Many (2+2) loads man. Even got a siesta, adrenaline-crashed we man. Ex-Mrs.-T-B. retrieved Mini-B. from the party, dropped with us man. Mini-B. then jumped on computer to play games with his amigos, 2 hours man. Din-din for Mini-B. was spaghetti & a cake piece donated by Mama T-B., ingest wee man. Din-din for us was the remaining 2 corn dogs, ingest we man. Meanwhile, miu was not to be seen for these Many hours, no miu man. Last we'd seen of miu was her watching us make Mini-B.'s bed, observant miu man. We presumed that miu had crawled under bed for a miu-siesta, typical of many mius man. Miu finally reappeared right when we were offloading Mini-B.'s stuff, fashionably late miu man. Mini-B.'s stuff seems to reproduce on its own, amount grows like jackrabbit clans man. Stuff took up the entire T-B.-mobile back seat, good grief man. Ex-Mrs. T-B. came out to help carry stuff in and promptly spilled an important box, ex-she man. Ex-she man refused to let us recite our "We're Two Guys!" mantra in her casa, uptight ex-she man. Mini-B. and we muttered it sotto voce, punctuated with stomach-bumps, take that ex-she man man. We have conquered the remaining laundry, victorious we man. We have cleaned the miu-box, intestinally prolific miu man. We must dish and subsequently de-dish the warsher, Sunday night man. Then we shall cavort lustily with the rubias, lustily cavort we man.
