  5. It is Sunday -- time for our Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke*: *Easter, so a church joke -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= GOING BATTY Three pastors were having lunch in a diner. One said, "You know, since summer started, I've been having trouble with bats in my loft and attic at church. I've tried everything -- noise, spray, cats -- nothing seems to scare them away." The second pastor said, "Me, too. I've got hundreds of bats living in my belfry and in the attic. I've even had the place fumigated, and they won't go away." The third said, "I baptized all of mine, and made them members of the church. Haven't seen one back here since!"

  8. Here's What Biden Doesn’t Want You to Know About His Fundraising Numbers [...] Some of Biden's fundraising advantage has been a mirage because he has been jointly fundraising with the DNC since he launched his campaign while Donald Trump only secured the Republican nomination this month. But, even if we ignore that, a deeper dive into Joe Biden's fundraising numbers points to big trouble for his campaign. It comes down to who is donating to his campaign. While Biden is clearly benefiting from big donations from corporations and left-wing interest groups, he is struggling to attract small, grassroots donations. 11. Trump Campaign Responds to Biden's Latest Attacks on Easter The Biden White House, as Sarah covered earlier, on Friday issued "A Proclamation on Transgender Day of Visibility" to take place on Sunday, March 31. That's also Easter Sunday. As a further affront to Christians, the White House is even banning "religious symbols" and "overtly religious themes" as part of their criteria for an Easter egg design contest for the children of National Guard members. And to think we're told that Biden is supposedly a "devout Catholic." On Saturday, Donald Trump's campaign responded to the news, as National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called on Biden to apologize for such an "appalling and insulting" move. 12. This is WONDERFUL. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ MUST WATCH: Guyana President Lights Up BBC Host Who Tries to Climate Shame Him Over Extracting Oil I'd like to introduce you to Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana. What he did in the face of climate activism being thrown at him has now gone viral (almost 3 million views on the video below) and it isn't hard to see why. 13. This is frankly stated. Comments? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3 ways NBC flunked the Ronna McDaniel test Ronna McDaniel, the former chair of the Republican National Committee, was hired by NBC News on Friday to be a contributor. "It couldn't be a more important moment to have a voice like Ronna's on the team," said top NBC exec Carrie Budoff Brown. Four days later, she was unceremoniously fired after making a single appearance on the network, putting an end to one of the biggest media debacles in recent memory. Every aspect of the decision immediately went off the rails, with NBC hosts melting down hysterically over the hire. It was a failure on nearly every level that will reverberate for months, if not years. [...] https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4559405-nbc-made-three-huge-mistakes-with-ronna-mcdaniel/
  14. Chick in Texas just got her case dismissed for voting once in 2016 while on felony probation.

  17. A quick Google search yielded this seemingly informative page (not official State government): https://www.dmv.org/tx-texas/apply-license.php Read it to see if it clarifies things, then perhaps contact them.
  18. I was threatened by the January 6 committee into staying silent, Trump's acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller claims Donald Trump's former acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller claims the January 6committee threatened to 'make his life hell' if he kept claiming his former boss authorized National Guard deployment during the Capitol riot. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, the former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center said he became 'fearful' of aggressive tactics by members of the Democrat-led panel who tried to stop him speaking publicly about a narrative that didn't align with their final report. Miller's bombshell claims follow a report by Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk that reveals the committee withheld a transcript from an interview with a top White Houseofficial where he told Vice Chair Liz Cheney and other staffers that Trump did want to deploy troops. 19. This one could go here, or in the "Biden Tanking" thread, or stand-alone. Yes, the U.S. media were -- and are -- out to lunch. And has there ever been a weaker president than Bidementia? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Biden's Boss Tightens the Screws [...] If President Biden wants his mass migration crisis to recede from public view before the election, López Obrador will slow the flow of migrants—for the ripe price of a $20 billion down payment. This cash would be sent under the paper-thin cover of the debunked "root causes" theory of mass migration, which proposes that money from the destination country can rebuild countries generating outmigration so that their citizens want to stay. And if the U.S. incumbent doesn't pay the requested $20 billion a year for root causes—"then what?" asked interviewer Sharyn Alfonsi. "The flow of migrants…will continue," the president responded simply with a smile worthy of a mafia don. [...] https://americanmind.org/salvo/bidens-boss-tightens-the-screws/
  20. When I'm nuking something but I head toward the microwave too early to coincide with the finish, I'll watch the timer and mentally name the prime factors for each second that ticks down: :41 = prime :40 = 2, 5 :39 = 3, 13 :38 = 2, 19 :37 = prime :36 = 6 squared :35 = 5, 7 etc. Perhaps psycho, but it sure helps with the impatience.
  21. For the Costco house-brand popcorn, I pick 2 different times: either 3:07 or 2:67. Have to let the oven run down because the popcorn has to cool for a bit, and because I'm usually watching TV while it pops.
  22. 1. Tulsi, although she'd be far more effective in a real job (SecDef, Joint Chiefs, anything crucial). 2. Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla. -- brilliant, effective, consummately articulate, and (oh yeah) black. 3. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y. 4. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark. 5. Gov. Kristi Noem, R-S.D.
  23. If I ever seek to get a house built, it's going to have a doubly thick foundation and structure that can withstand a strong Category 5 hurricane.
