I have a question that I’d love if anyone else in this group has any knowledge about.

My vawa was approved little over a year ago, from the day I left my abusive relationship I have not spoken to my ex, which it’s almost 5 years ago. I know I am divorced as my ex has already remarried, I’m guessing he went through the process by himself. We both lived in ny, so I'm assuming here is where the divorce was filed, but all the courts I’ve checked can’t provide me with a copy of my divorce certificate. Does anyone know how I might obtain a copy? Thank you

It takes around 8/12 months.

Thank you for your valuable insight Sandra. I read the article and it said you can prove your first marriage was bonafide, which I can do. So I think I want to  try because I really want to move on with my life, I’m getting older and would like children sooner than 5 years.

I am not completely finished with my journey, but I have received my green card.

I want to get married to my fiancé who is from my country, is anyone here familiar with it’s how long the process would take? 
or would it be better to wait until I became a citizen?

@Stillwinning!!!😊 since I officially got terminated from work today I was wondering how soon after getting “new card being produced” will I receive the actual card in hand?

Hey guys!!

I have an issue hopefully someone can help me with. My Ead renewal was sent in before it expired but it was return which took quite some time, when I sent it back in it was after the expire date, which was ok because I have two eads,but now my job doesn’t want to accept the extension from first EAD, and my second Ead is expiring 

Good Morning everyone.

I had my interview at Federal Plaza on the 24th of March, after the interview the officer gave me a rfe for my ex-husband’s divorce decree from his previous marriage. I shipped it off the following Monday the 28th. He said that’s all he needed to approve my case.
I was wondering if anyone here has received an RFE after interview, and how long does it usually take after submission to get an approval?

No he only told me he was going to file, do I need to be divorced for the interview?

Hello everyone, Happy Monday 

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this dilemma, so I’m trying to get stuff in order. I have not spoke to my ex since I left, however I am trying to get a copy my my divorce, I’ve called everywhere I believe he could have filled it but they found nothing. Do I definitely need my divorce decree for my interview? 
Any advice is appreciated

Also, a part from my medical, what else do I need for the interview?

I was wondering if anyone knows if lenders will will give me a hard time for trying to purchase a house with only my Ead? Will the fact that I am not a permanent resident as yet be an issue?

Does anyone know if it’s normal to receive the receipt for only my I-131 when I filed for a combo card renewal? (I usually receive both receipts together)

i was wondering is it normal for me to receive a receipt notice for my I-131 renewal without getting one for my I-765? I’ve normally received both envelopes on the same day

my package has been delivered since 10/18/2021.

I’m not sure, but when it delivered did it say it was signed for by someone? Mine was

Shortly after I posted this yesterday I got my receipt for my I-131 renewal, I haven’t received the one for the Ead as yet and they normally arrive together so I’m gonna wait and see if it comes also

Same here, I would normally have gotten a receipt already, this is very worrisome, this means the actual renewal might take forever

I have a question, my vawa approved april of this year, on October 6 I sent a renewal for my I-765 (c9) to vsc 38 river rd saint Albans vt. I however still have not received a receipt notice. My question is did I send it to the right location?

09-01-2019 - applied i360, i485 and i765(c31)

10/14/2019- biometrics done. they sent RFE in same month for bona fide marriage and good moral character 

12/23/2019- they received RFE

 After that it was a long silence till today, i was so shocked to see that it was approved. So please all of you stay strong if i can get approved all of us can.!!

yes received PF one month after I applied then another one when that one expired and the third one they sent me in March of this year that doesn’t expire until September. You’ll get some good news soon.
