    Good morning everyone, I have a question that I’d love if anyone else in this group has any knowledge about. My vawa was approved little over a year ago, from the day I left my abusive relationship I have not spoken to my ex, which it’s almost 5 years ago. I know I am divorced as my ex has already remarried, I’m guessing he went through the process by himself. We both lived in ny, so I'm assuming here is where the divorce was filed, but all the courts I’ve checked can’t provide me with a copy of my divorce certificate. Does anyone know how I might obtain a copy? Thank you

    Thank you for your valuable insight Sandra. I read the article and it said you can prove your first marriage was bonafide, which I can do. So I think I want to try because I really want to move on with my life, I’m getting older and would like children sooner than 5 years.

    Hello Everyone!! Congrats to everyone making progress on their journey. I am not completely finished with my journey, but I have received my green card. I want to get married to my fiancé who is from my country, is anyone here familiar with it’s how long the process would take? or would it be better to wait until I became a citizen? Thanks in Advance
